00:00Shah Faisal Mosque, also known as Faisal Masjid, is nestled at the foothills of the lush Margalla Hills in Sector E-7 Islamabad.

00:14Designed by Turkish architect Vedat Daloke, the mosque's contemporary design is inspired by the cubic Kaaba in Makkah and Bedouin tents.
00:22Constructed with white marble, it features a main hall without pillars, four towering minarets, each 90 meters high, and a unique eight-sided structure.
00:31The mosque spans an area of 130,000 square meters.
00:35The main hall can accommodate 10,000 worshippers, while the entire mosque can hold up to 300,000 people.

00:45The main hall opens only during prayer times, five times a day.

00:53Foreigners and non-Muslims are welcome, but women should wear a scarf or dupatta.
