Paul Arnott, a volunteer eager to join the search for missing Jay Slater in Tenerife, told his TikTok followers he is currently awaiting permission to fly out and assist in the efforts alongside Scottish mountain rescue

00:00So guys, I just want to give everyone a quick update in regards to me talking about
00:04Attempting to bring Scottish Mountain Rescue out here now. I've been in touch with Scottish Mountain Rescue
00:09I haven't really been talking about it too much and however
00:12I've been speaking to a really really kind woman this morning and in a situation to be honest guys
00:17It's Scottish Mountain Rescue would like to come out. They'd like to attend. They've been following everything very closely, of course
00:22And they're very impressed with what's been going on
00:25Not only that and they wanted to say thank you to everyone who's been donating to the Scottish Mountain Rescue Fund
00:31We've raised quite a lot of money. So thank you so much
00:34And then in regards to the whole situation guys, and basically they do want to come out. They can't just fly over
00:40It's not as simple as that for them to actually come over. They need to have permission from from from Scotland police
00:46That's how it works. So right now we're trying to get and we're trying to get permission. We're trying to get authority from
00:52Scotland police and we'll see what happens
00:54We'll see what happens but Scottish Mountain Rescue an amazing group of people. They're fully behind us
01:00They really wanted they really want to come help. It's just a certain procedure that has to be done first guys
