01:45Thank you.
01:54Thank you very much.
01:56I'd like to thank the Returning Officer, the people counting, the wonderful staff here, my incredible campaign team, my wonderful family and friends, and my agent.
02:10I'd like to pay tribute to the fellow candidates here, and I'd like to thank Steve as well as Anne Double for their hard work this past nine years.
02:20I'm under no illusions how hard the fight ahead will be to restore trust in politics in Cornwall.
02:30But this has been a vote for a Labour Party that is resolutely focused on the priorities of working people.
02:39We will fight for economic security, cheaper bills, safer streets, the NHS back on its feet, secure borders and better opportunities for the next generation in Cornwall.
02:56And I will stand up and be a voice that we've seldom had in Westminster, with Cornish Labour MPs in a Labour government.
03:07We ran this election as a changed Labour Party, and thank you for putting your trust in us to change the country.
03:18Keir Starmer is realistic about the challenges we face and the practical steps we need to tackle them.
03:28I've run this campaign on three clear pledges, crafted from the thousands of conversations that I've had on the doorsteps and the many more I've had in this community in my 29 years.
03:43I've been given a mandate to fight for jobs and prosperity, to tackle the Cornish housing crisis and to revitalise our towns and infrastructure.
03:54And I am realistic about the immense scale of those challenges, but also the first steps that I will take to address them.
04:04There are no quick fixes, but the Labour Party is focused on what it will take to get Britain's future back and provide an incredible set of policy tools for us to get to work with here in Cornwall.
04:22Never again will we go back to the chaotic, sticking plaster politics of the populist right.
04:29And politicians and politics should serve the public.
04:34It's time to end the chaos and dysfunction in Westminster and rebuild our country together.
04:42Thank you.
