00:00Hi, the spirit of understanding, a path to live in God's plan.
00:15Ephesians 1 17 to 19 tells us, I have never stopped thanking God for you.
00:21I pray for you constantly asking God, the glorious father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
00:26to give you wisdom, to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has
00:34done for you.
00:36Someone wise once said, the spirit of understanding is God's supernatural revelation, his secret
00:43insights to his word.
00:45The spirit of God illuminates our hearts and minds to comprehend divine truths.
00:52The spirit of understanding, a path to live in God's plan.
00:58Want to know more?
01:00Hang around.
01:02Welcome, welcome to Lions Roar 3.8 ministries.
01:08Amos 3.8 tells us, the lion has roared, who will not hear or fear?
01:13The Lord God has spoken, who can but prophesy?
01:17Welcome.
01:18My name is George Mogolianzhi.
01:19We are an apostolic ministry with a prophetic teaching edge.
01:24It is our passion, our mission to reignite, equip and release Christ-like disciples both
01:29locally and globally.
01:31We do that through our itinerant ministry, but as well as providing with resources just
01:36like this one to help you, to aid you in your God-given calling.
01:41Today we're going to retouch, we're going to revisit a recent study that we've done
01:47on the spirit of understanding, the spirit of understanding.
01:53Bringing us to our main verse today, and as we heard at the beginning, it comes from the
01:58book of Ephesians 1 verses 17 to 19.
02:04This time reading from the W.E. version.
02:07I ask him that you may understand these things in your hearts.
02:12I ask him that you may know what a great hope you have because God has called you.
02:20I ask him that you may know the rich and great blessings God has promised to his people.
02:27Amen.
02:28Amen.
02:29Excuse me, it is cold here.
02:34All right.
02:35First of all, thank you.
02:36Thank you everybody for your prayers.
02:38We are a lot better.
02:40And also for your loving wishes for our anniversary, our 20th anniversary, which was during the
02:45week, as well on the same day, it's also our youngest son's birthday.
02:50It was his 12th birthday.
02:52So thank you all.
02:54God bless you all.
02:55Thank you for your love.
02:56We appreciate it.
02:57Bringing us to our topic today, and as I said at the beginning, we're going to be retouching,
03:02revisiting the spirit of understanding, this time a path to living God's plan, a path to
03:09living God's plan.
03:10Excuse me.
03:11All right.
03:12First of all, we'll give you, as usual, we'll give you some context.
03:18So it's going to be a teaching that we're going to be doing tonight or today, this morning,
03:23wherever you are in the world.
03:25So I'll give you a small context contrasting the difference between perceiving and understanding
03:34before commencing our study.
03:36Our study will cover four major foundational truths that we must understand and have clearly
03:44established in our faith-filled lives.
03:48If we are to truly live, as God said, to truly live as God planned out for us.
03:56First one, why has the spirit of understanding been made available to us?
04:02So why has the spirit of understanding been made available to us?
04:07Number two, how important is the spirit of understanding?
04:13How important is the spirit of understanding?
04:16Number three, the spirit of understanding brings forth breakthrough.
04:22The spirit of understanding brings forth breakthrough.
04:27Number four, walking in the spirit of understanding, where we will provide you with three practical
04:37points to walking in the spirit of understanding.
04:41So walking in the spirit of understanding.
04:44Now the spirit of understanding transforms perception into actionable faith.
04:51The spirit of understanding transforms perception into actionable faith, leading to spiritual
04:58growth and breakthrough in our lives.
05:01By embracing this foundational truth in today's teaching, we unlock deeper revelations and
05:09live more fully in God's plans.
05:13Amen.
05:14Are you ready?
05:16It's a goodie.
05:17All right, let's pray.
05:18Lord, I thank you that you have already gone ahead of time, for you are not limited by
05:24time.
05:25Holy Spirit, you are already here.
05:27You never forsake us.
05:29So we ask you that you have your way.
05:33Have your way, Holy Spirit.
05:34Let every word that comes out of my mouth be your words.
05:38Bring glory and honor to Christ Jesus.
05:41Lord, I thank you.
05:43I thank you for the miracles, signs and wonders.
05:45I thank you for the deliverances.
05:47I thank you for the healings.
05:49I thank you for the revelation, for the visions.
05:53Lord, I thank you that you are already moving, that you've already sent your ministering
05:58angels ahead of time, and that your spirit of wisdom, excuse me, and revelation is already
06:05moving.
06:06In the mighty name of Jesus, hallelujah and amen.
06:11Amen.
06:12All right.
06:14So let's look into some context first.
06:17Ephesians 1, Ephesians 1, 17 to 19, this time reading from the Amplified Classic Version.
06:25For I always pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that he may grant
06:32you a spirit, grant you a spirit, excuse me, a spirit of wisdom and revelation.
06:45Of insight into mysteries and secrets in the deep and intimate knowledge of him.
06:53By having the eyes of our hearts flooded with light so that you can know and understand
07:03the hope to which he has called you and how rich is his glorious inheritance in the saints,
07:10his set apart ones.
07:13And so that you can know and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing
07:22greatness of his power in and for us who believe as demonstrated in the working of his mighty
07:32strength.
07:33Amen.
07:34Now, take this example.
07:40In this verse, basically, let me give you an example.
07:43Just to put into context in our time context, I guess, relatable to our lives.
07:54You can be super rich with millions in your bank accounts, but until you learn to use
08:01your bank card or learn to use your internet banking, however way you do your banking,
08:08it's dead money.
08:09It's useless to us, right?
08:12You can be rich, but until you learn to use your card to get the cash out, until you learn
08:17to use the internet banking, whatever way you use, it's useless.
08:21So likewise, the word of God has been made available to us for more than just perceiving,
08:29but to bring understanding.
08:32That is very different.
08:34Now, I know life has become very active, intentionally very active.
08:41They made it so.
08:44It's become, as we say, many of us, very busy.
08:47It's almost impossible to navigate.
08:50And many of us have demoted ourselves, if we're truly sincere, to being just content
08:58with just perceiving rather than understanding.
09:04You see, the problem with this is that perception does have its benefits, but it's not the fullness
09:12of what God intends to produce in and through us.
09:17Therefore, it is incomplete on its own.
09:21Most people make decisions nowadays in life through perception, which is very, very dangerous.
09:28Based on what they experienced, heard of, grew up with, the effects of our culture,
09:34environment, financial status, education, and so on.
09:37However, as Christians, we are taught through the word of God, through the various life
09:44examples in the word of God, to live life through God's word, which brings forth life.
09:54To walk after the spirit rather than after the flesh.
10:01Now perceive, perceive means merely to notice or to see and to acknowledge or recognize.
10:13You see, no understanding is fully implied.
10:17Let me say that again, because we need to understand the difference, the contrast here.
10:21Perceive means merely to notice, to see, and to acknowledge or recognize.
10:27No understanding is implied.
10:33Understanding means to comprehend, to know, to discern, to clearly understand the meaning,
10:41the specifics, and the importance of something you perceive.
10:46Do you see the difference here?
10:49You may read the word or listen to the word of God and perceive the application, but understanding
10:58unveils revelation, promising results, activating transformation into manifestation in the lives
11:08of all believers.
11:09Let me say that again, because we need to understand this.
11:12You may read, excuse me, the word or even listen to the word of God and perceive the
11:18application, but understanding unveils revelation, promising results, activating transformation
11:30into manifestation in the lives of all believers.
11:35Amen.
11:37Now how wonderful is it that we have been anointed, as the word of God says, equipped
11:44and activated to move forward, to grow from glory to glory in life by the word of God
11:53and the indwelling Holy Spirit, with Jesus being the prime example of what and how has
12:03been made available to us to truly live.
12:09Do you get that?
12:11All right, fantastic.
12:13Let's start our study then.
12:17Let's begin our study again.
12:19Let's look this time at Isaiah 11, Isaiah 11 verses 1 to 3.
12:26Isaiah 11 verses 1 to 3, and I'm reading from the Amplified Classic.
12:31And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, David's father, and a
12:37branch out of his roots shall grow and bear fruit.
12:42And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
12:52the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of reverential and obedient
13:01fear of the Lord.
13:03And shall make him of quick understanding, and his delight shall be in the reverential
13:10and obedient fear of the Lord.
13:14And he shall not judge by sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears.
13:20The following study, again, let me explain this again, as I did at the beginning.
13:29The following study, some of you have arrived a little later.
13:35So the following study covers four, four major foundational truths that we must have established
13:45in our faith-filled lives.
13:47If we are to truly live as God planned out for us.
13:50Again, number one, why has the spirit of understanding being made available to us?
13:56Number two, how important is the spirit of understanding?
14:01Number three, the spirit of understanding brings forth breakthrough.
14:06And number four, walking in the spirit of understanding.
14:12Number one, here we go.
14:16So why has the spirit of understanding being made available to us?
14:21Let's look at John 14, verse 12.
14:24John 14, verse 12, in the Amplified Classic, tells us, I assure you, most solemnly, I tell
14:30you, if anyone steadfastly believes in me, this was Jesus speaking, he will himself be
14:38able to do the things that I do.
14:41And he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.
14:49Wow.
14:51Now think about it, if Jesus himself needed the spirit of understanding to do what the
15:00Father called him to do, how important do you think it is for us to walk in the spirit
15:06of understanding?
15:07Crucial.
15:08Amen?
15:09Absolutely.
15:10If we are to fulfill what he called us to fulfill, to truly live as he planned out for
15:17us, it is absolutely important, it's indispensable that we walk in the spirit of understanding.
15:28Now anyone can read, as I said before, anyone can read the Word of God, but with the spirit
15:35of understanding, you are anointed, which means you are entrusted, unlocked, opened,
15:44exposed, or activated to understand.
15:49Remember understand, discernment, comprehension, interpretation, as Proverbs 4 verse 7 tells
15:54us, discernment, comprehension, interpretation.
15:58You are activated, you are anointed, you are unlocked, opened, exposed, to understand the
16:06Word and receive revelation of the Spirit.
16:13There is a difference.
16:16A great example of this can be found in John 20, 21 to 22.
16:21If you look at John 20, 21 to 22, again, I'm reading from the Amplified Classic, then Jesus
16:28said to them again, peace to you, just as the Father has sent me forth, so I am sending
16:36you.
16:37And having said this, he breathed on them and said to them, receive the Holy Spirit.
16:47Whoa, that is different, isn't it?
16:52Now this was not the same as when they received the Holy Spirit dwelling in them in the book
16:58of Acts, you know, the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire, in Acts 2, 1 to 4, it reveals
17:04that the same disciples received the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost and spoke in
17:12tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
17:16In John 20, 21 to 22, the Spirit of understanding was breathed onto them to bring clarity, comprehension,
17:28knowledge and understanding.
17:30See the difference here.
17:32In Luke 24, 44 to 49, Luke 24, 44 to 49, we are given another clear example contrasting
17:44the difference between the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire and the gift of the Spirit
17:51of understanding.
17:52In Luke 24, 44 to 49, Jesus was resurrected when he met with the disciples and spoke to
18:00them the following.
18:03This is what I told you while I was still with you, everything which is written concerning
18:08me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.
18:16Then he thoroughly opened up their minds to understand the scriptures.
18:24Verse 45, then he thoroughly opened up their minds to understand the scriptures.
18:33Wow.
18:34Verse 46, and he said to them, thus it is written that the Christ the Messiah should
18:39suffer and on the third day rise from among the dead.
18:46And that repentance with a view to and as the condition of forgiveness of sins should
18:53be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
18:59You are witnesses of these things and behold, I will send forth upon you what my father
19:05has promised, but remain in the city, Jerusalem, until you are clothed with power from on high.
19:14You see the spirit of understanding has been made available to us as an indispensable gift
19:22in order that we successfully live the life that God intended for us to live, fulfilling
19:29all he's called us to fulfill.
19:32Amen.
19:34In all his fullness.
19:40The spirit of understanding is therefore very, very important for us to walk in.
19:51Number two, number two, how important is the spirit of understanding?
19:57How important is the spirit of understanding?
19:59We just mentioned that in Proverbs 4, verse 7, excuse me, in Proverbs 4, verse 7, Solomon
20:06stated the following, again, reading from the Amplified Classic, the beginning of wisdom
20:12is get wisdom, skillful and godly wisdom, for skillful and godly wisdom is the principle
20:20thing.
20:21And with all you have gotten, get understanding, discernment, comprehension and interpretation.
20:31So when you hear the word of God and do not pay heed to it, in other words, you don't
20:35pay attention to it, you don't try to understand it, you allow the enemy to steal the seeds
20:43of hope, deliverance, joy, et cetera, that God has already made available to you.
20:51Where's that in the Bible?
20:52Matthew 13, 19, Matthew 13, 19, reading from New King James Version, when anyone hears
21:00the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, wow, then the wicked one comes and snatches
21:08away what was sown in his heart.
21:11This is he who received seed by the wayside.
21:17The spirit of understanding, as we said, in number one, we're saying it again, in number
21:23two, is indispensable, indispensable, therefore, very important for all believers to walk in
21:35on a daily basis, amen, amen, all right.
21:39Number three, number three, the spirit of understanding brings forth breakthrough.
21:45Excuse me.
21:48How many of us want breakthrough?
21:53I'm pretty sure we all do.
21:55We want breakthroughs.
21:56There's always things in our lives that we want breakthrough in, amen.
22:00The spirit of understanding brings forth breakthrough.
22:04John 4, 7 to 42, John 4, 7 to 42, and I'm not going to read the whole thing, just a
22:11few things.
22:14Let's read verses 7 to 13.
22:18So John 4, verses 7 to 13, verse 7, presently when a woman of Samaria came along to draw
22:27water, Jesus said to her, give me a drink or water, as my kids say, the American version.
22:37Number eight, for his disciples had gone off into the town to buy food.
22:43The Samaritan woman said to him, how is it that you being a Jew, ask me a Samaritan and
22:49a woman for a drink, for the Jews have nothing to do with the Samaritans.
22:55Jesus answered her, if you had only known in that word, it also means understand and
23:05had recognized God's gift and who this is that is saying to you, give me a drink.
23:13You would have asked him instead, and he would have given you living water, water.
23:22Verse 11, she said to him, sir, you have nothing to draw and with no drawing bucket and the
23:28well is deep.
23:29How then can you provide living water?
23:32Where do you get your living water?
23:35Verse 12, are you greater than and superior to our ancestor Jacob who gave us this well
23:41and who used to drink from it himself and his sons and his cattle also?
23:46Jesus answered her, all who drink of this water will be thirsty again.
23:53The conversation continued and Jesus prompts her about her life.
24:00The woman then understands that is not just some man, but a prophet.
24:07Let's read verse 19, in verse 19, it says, the woman said to him, sir, I see and understand
24:16that you are a prophet, ding, ding, ding, ding, and understand that you are a prophet.
24:25Okay, let's skip to verse 21 to 22.
24:30Verse 21 to 22, Jesus said to her, woman, believe me, a time is coming when you will
24:36worship the father, neither merrily in this mountain, nor merrily in Jerusalem.
24:42Verse 22, you Samaritans do not know what, do not what?
24:48Know what you are worshiping.
24:51You worship what you do not comprehend.
24:56We do know what we are worshiping.
24:59Now he's talking about himself, he's talking about the Jews.
25:02We worship that, we worship what we have knowledge of and understand.
25:11For after all, salvation comes from among the Jews.
25:17Wow, so as understanding dawned on her, on the Samaritan woman, she is at the entrance
25:25of a new beginning where the kingdom of God is at hand.
25:30It makes a difference if you walk in the spirit of understanding, or if you just receive things
25:40through perception.
25:43It makes a difference, a massive difference.
25:47So with this new, with the newfound revelation, comprehension or understanding is a better
25:55word.
25:56This woman now grasped breakthrough, not only for herself, but for her entire village.
26:04Where does it say that?
26:05Well, let's look at John 4, verses 28 to 30.
26:11John 4, verses 28 to 30, again, I'm reading from the Amplified Classic.
26:15Then the woman left her water jar and went away to the town.
26:20And she began telling the people, come, see a man who has told me everything that I ever
26:27did.
26:28Can this be?
26:29Is not this the Christ?
26:32Must not this be the Messiah, the anointed one?
26:35Excuse me.
26:38So the people left the town and set out to go to him.
26:44The spirit of understanding brings forth breakthrough.
26:50We end up finding out later on that the whole village had a revival.
26:54They all came to Christ.
26:58It makes a massive difference.
27:01The spirit of understanding brings forth breakthrough, bringing us to our number four.
27:07Walking in the spirit of understanding is our portion.
27:13Walking in the spirit of understanding.
27:17Now the following that we're going to cover now provides us with three practical points
27:25assisting us in walking in the spirit of understanding, all right?
27:33Now listen, listen, Matthew 13, Matthew 13, 11 to 15, this time reading from the Message
27:40Version, Matthew 13, 11 to 15.
27:44He replied, you've been given insight into God's kingdom, insight.
27:50You know how it works.
27:53Not everybody has this gift, this insight.
27:55It hasn't been given to them.
27:58Whenever someone has a ready heart for this, the insights and understandings flow freely.
28:05But if there's no readiness, any trace of receptivity soon disappears.
28:11That's why I tell stories to create readiness, to nudge the people toward a welcoming awakening.
28:19In their present state, they can stare till doomsday and not see it.
28:25Listen till they're blue in the face and not get it.
28:29I don't want Isaiah's forecast repeated all over again.
28:35Your ears are open, but you don't hear a thing.
28:37Your eyes are awake, but you don't see a thing.
28:40The people are stupid.
28:42They stick their fingers in their ears so they won't have to listen.
28:46They screw their eyes shut so they won't have to look, so they won't have to deal with
28:51me face to face and let me heal them.
28:56It is clear in this scripture that we just heard that the requirements to walking in
29:04the spirit of understanding is what?
29:06A ready heart.
29:10A ready heart.
29:11The requirement to walking in the spirit of understanding is a ready heart.
29:16What does that look like, George?
29:17A ready heart.
29:18What do you mean by that?
29:19A ready heart is hunger, is a hungry heart.
29:24Hunger, hope, faith, perseverance, unwavering, unrelenting, undying, total surrender to God,
29:33to God's word, to his promises, his continuing work of grace in and through us.
29:39No matter what's going on around us, no matter what the environment says, no matter what
29:44your account shows, no matter what people tell you.
29:47Remember Job, the story of Job?
29:52A ready heart.
29:54Again in Matthew 13, Matthew 13, 11-15, in the message version, we are exposed to the
30:01truth that the requirement to walk in the spirit of understanding is a ready heart.
30:10The message version says it this way again, whenever someone has a ready heart for this,
30:14the insights and understandings flow freely.
30:20The amplified version states it this way, for whoever has spiritual wisdom because he
30:26is receptive to God's word, to him more will be given and he will be richly and abundantly
30:35supplied.
30:36But whoever does not have spiritual wisdom because he has devalued God's word, so if
30:42you're not receptive, if you don't have a ready heart, you're actually devaluing God's word.
30:52There is a spirit of unbelief, of laziness, of untrust, of whatever other word you want
31:01to use.
31:02You're devaluing God's word.
31:07Even what he has will be taken away from him.
31:11The verse goes on to say, therefore our first practical point, our first practical point
31:19to walk in the spirit of understanding is, if you have given your life to Christ, if
31:24you are a believer, a Christian, then you must, you must understand this, that the spirit
31:35of understanding has already been imparted, imparted, that means entrusted, anointed,
31:43unlocked, open, exposed or activated in your life.
31:49You must know this, you must accept it, believe it and walk in faith in this truth.
31:59Matthew 13, listen to this, Matthew 13, 10 to 11, from the New Living Translation, his
32:07disciples came and asked him, why do you use parables when you talk to the people?
32:11He replied, you are permitted, you are permitted to understand the secrets of the kingdom of
32:18heaven, but others are not.
32:23Why is there a permission there?
32:25Does that mean God is the one who chooses?
32:28No, what he was saying is, I allow you to understand, I'm giving you permission to understand
32:34because your hearts are ready hearts, because you're hungry to receive, you are receptive
32:40to my word, therefore, I permit you to understand.
32:47He will release the spirit of understanding when we are receptive, when our hearts are
32:52ready hearts.
32:53And from the moment you give your life to God, you are what?
32:56You are receptive, you have ready hearts, you surrender to him and he gives you the
33:03gift of understanding.
33:06All right, so the first one, what was it?
33:10What was the first point, practical point?
33:13You have been given the spirit of understanding, it's already been imparted in you, and you
33:19must believe this truth by faith.
33:22Number two, second practical point, to walk in the spirit of understanding, even if you
33:28still don't fully understand, don't fully comprehend, choose to agree with the word
33:35of God, choose to agree with the word of God, for the spirit of understanding is part of
33:42your inheritance, it is our portion.
33:46And as you choose to agree and put your faith in his word, this truth will manifest in your
33:54life, for he is faithful to his word and always fulfills his promises.
34:03Number two, even if you don't understand, even if you don't fully comprehend, choose
34:10to agree with the word of God, choose to believe, to entrust his word and declare it, and you
34:19will see his word manifest in your life.
34:23The third and final practical point to walk in in the spirit of understanding is, never
34:32give up, never give up, never give up, never give up.
34:42If you don't get something the first time, it doesn't mean you won't get it.
34:47If you don't get it in 10 years, it doesn't mean you won't get it.
34:50If you don't get it in 15, it doesn't mean you won't get it.
34:53You know, we see a lot of videos, we see a lot of, we go to a lot of conferences, and
34:57a lot of us remember great preachings, great sermons, great teachings, great seminars,
35:04and conferences, and remember, we remember, let's be sincere here, we remember all the
35:10great speakers, the Bill Johnsons, the Andrew Womacks, the Kenneth Copelands, the whatever
35:16one you like, we remember them, but we choose, for whatever reason, to forget the fact that
35:28they too go through trouble.
35:31And they all admit it.
35:33They all admit it.
35:35The nonsense, or should I say, the ignorance of people, and that's ignorance of people
35:41to say that you're not qualified to be a minister, or you're not qualified to pray
35:47for somebody if you're sick, you're not qualified to be a minister if you're having issues within
35:51your family or within your marriage.
35:53That's absolutely nonsense.
35:56It's absolutely demonic.
35:57It's unbiblical in every way.
36:00It's ignorant to even say something like that.
36:03Everybody, nobody is perfect, apart from Jesus.
36:09Everybody will have issues.
36:11Remember, we are living in a fallen world, so everyone will encounter trials, tribulations,
36:16temptations, you'll all encounter, and guess what?
36:20You'll all fail.
36:22Are you saying you can't be perfect?
36:24I'm saying that we will, by faith, the more we renew our minds, as the Word of God says,
36:32the more we surrender to God through the living Word, through learning His Word, through prayer,
36:40fasting, all those things, the more we do that, and don't do that in a religious, traditional
36:45way.
36:46I'm saying the more we are committed and totally surrender to God, focus on Him, put Him first,
36:52just like Jesus, the more we follow Jesus, the more we become like Him, but remember,
36:58we are being sanctified.
37:02We are going through a process of sanctification.
37:05Our body and our soul is going through a process of sanctification.
37:09Our spirit is perfect.
37:12From the moment you give your life to God, and you are saved, the Word of God is very
37:16clear about that.
37:17It's no longer us that lives, but Christ that lives in us, and the life we now live, we
37:21live by the faith of the Son of God, and it goes on to say that we are now seated in heavenly
37:25places.
37:26How can you be seated in heavenly places when God looks at you now, He sees you perfect,
37:31just like Jesus.
37:32That's your spirit.
37:34You are now perfect.
37:35That's why the old nature has gone, has died, as the Word of God says, that we've been crucified
37:39with Christ and resurrected, reborn in a new nature, in Christ Jesus.
37:47That's why the Word of God goes on to say that we are the righteousness of God in Christ
37:51Jesus.
37:52How can it be the righteousness, George, when I'm still doing the old things?
37:55Well, the old man is dead, but guess what, there's a residue of the old man that has
38:04to be replaced with a new nature.
38:07How do you replace the new nature?
38:09It's not just an impartation, it's through the Word of God.
38:13The more you feed on His Word, on the Spirit of God, the more you become like Jesus, and
38:19those things start to fall away, and that's why the spirit of understanding is so important,
38:26and that's why we must not give up.
38:30No matter how many times you stuff up, you get up, and you keep going, and you keep going,
38:36and you don't give up.
38:38The Christian life is not easy.
38:43It's not about works.
38:44The Christian life is impossible, but the beauty of it is that we are not meant to live
38:50by the flesh or by the law.
38:51We're meant to live by grace, walking after the Spirit, not after the flesh.
38:58That's the only way we can do it, because that's the way that Jesus has done it, and
39:02that's what we must do.
39:05So we must not give up.
39:07See, you feel the pressure, and you feel like giving up if you're still striving in the
39:14flesh.
39:16If you're living, if you're walking after the Spirit, you will have all the fruits of
39:20the Spirit manifest.
39:21I am talking, I'm preaching to myself, too.
39:25We all do it, let's admit.
39:27We all do it, and that's what I was saying before.
39:29We hear all these great men and women of God, but we forget the parts where they tell
39:35us that they, too, went through 10, 15 years of poverty, or struggle, or lack, or whatever.
39:44Why?
39:45Because they were still learning, they were going through their journey, they were still
39:48learning the lesson.
39:51And until they learned that lesson, until they get that understanding, they must never
39:56give up.
39:57And that's why their ministries have now grown.
40:01Likewise in your life, not everybody will be called to have an international ministry.
40:06Not everybody will be called to be as influential, but we're all called to minister for the Lord.
40:14We're here for a purpose.
40:15We all are important to God, just as valuable to the Lord, but we must not give up, amen?
40:24We must be hold on to His word, His promises.
40:28It may be that all you need to do is just catch up.
40:33Therefore, we must read, study the word, and listen to the word until we understand it.
40:40The problem is that a lot of us, many of us, and I've done this before in the past, too,
40:47and I try really hard now not to do it, is that we move on to new things too quick, when
40:55God is still speaking to us and waiting for us to fully understand a specific thing.
41:04But we move on to the next thing, to the next new thing, and we wonder why we find ourselves
41:10going around in circles, repeating the same lessons over and over again.
41:16We must never, never give up.
41:20We must be hold on to His word, His promises, and we must give ourselves time to actually
41:29listen to God.
41:32Listening is just as vital part of the growing process as the doing, hence the reason why
41:38He gave us two of these and only one of these.
41:41Many of us use this more than this, but when it comes to living as a Christian, and living
41:48victoriously, prosperously, and fulfilling all that He's called us to fulfill, and having
41:54the relationship He wants us to have with Him first, and then with the people here on
42:00earth, He actually wants us to use this more than this.
42:08Furthermore, without listening, there is no understanding.
42:13Think about it.
42:15It's a very simple statement, but it is very true.
42:18Without listening, there is no understanding.
42:22Walking in the spirit of understanding is our portion.
42:28Let's conclude with our main verse today.
42:31This time I'm reading from the Philips translation, Ephesians 1, 17-19.
42:38Ephesians 1, 17-19, and the Philips translation says, I thank God continually for you, and
42:44I never give up praying for you.
42:47This is my prayer, that God, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the all-glorious Father
42:53will give you spiritual wisdom and the insight to know more of Him, that you may receive
42:59that inner illumination of the Spirit, which will make you realize how great is the hope
43:07to which He is calling you, the magnificence and splendor of the inheritance promised to
43:15Christians, and how tremendous is the power available to us who believe in God.
43:24Amen.
43:25Amen.
43:26Amen.
43:27Hallelujah.
43:28I encourage you to go through that teaching again until you fully understand it, amen?
43:37And for those that are new here, I can't see, I don't look at who's online when I'm doing
43:42the teachings, when I'm doing the program, for a reason, I want it to be fully focused
43:47on God's Word, so I don't know who's on.
43:52But if you're new here today, if this is the first time you've heard the Word of God, and
43:56you're wondering, wow, I never heard the Christian message in that manner, I want to
44:02give you the chance to give your life to Jesus today.
44:06You were created for a purpose, you are so important to God.
44:11Even if you were the only one that He would lay down His life for, which He did, He would
44:16still do it, even if it was just for you.
44:19That's how much He loves you.
44:21You know, His Word says in 1 John 5, 4-5, for whatever is born of God overcomes the
44:27world, and this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith.
44:35Who is He who overcomes the world?
44:37But He who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
44:43John 3, 16-17, John 3, 16-17 says, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
44:49Son, talking about Jesus, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting
44:56life.
44:57Yes, eternity, everlasting.
45:00For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through
45:05Him might be saved.
45:08Might there means will be saved.
45:131 John 1, 9, 1 John 1, 9 says, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive
45:21us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
45:27There's that dirty word, George, sins.
45:29Oh, I'm a good person.
45:31It doesn't matter how good you are.
45:34It doesn't matter.
45:35It's not about how good you are.
45:36You must be perfect.
45:38And sin in its most basic definition is when we try to live our lives without God.
45:44You were not created to live without Him.
45:45In fact, out of all the creation, you are so important.
45:48We are so important that humanity is the only creation God created in His image, in His
45:54image.
45:58We were created in His image.
45:59He loves us that much.
46:00And then He entrusted us with power and authority over all the things of the earth.
46:04That is His word says.
46:06That's how much He loves us.
46:10That's how much He loves you.
46:13And when you try to live your life without God, you know exactly what that is, because
46:17your conscience tells you that is sin.
46:23And you know what the wages of sin is?
46:25That means the consequences of sin is death.
46:29Jesus took your place, took my place, and He died on that cross.
46:36So all sin, past, present, and future, is paid fully.
46:43Now all you have to do is accept the free gift of grace.
46:49What do you mean, George?
46:50What do I have to do?
46:51Well, look at the screen.
46:52Romans 10 verses 9 to 10 tells us very clearly, very simple, that if you confess with your
46:58mouth the Lord Jesus, you confess with your mouth out loud, wherever you are, it doesn't
47:03matter if you're in your car, in your house, wherever you may be right now, and believe
47:08in your heart.
47:09And by the way, belief, faith, trust comes with a choice, starts with a choice.
47:16And believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
47:20You don't have to go and make yourself perfect.
47:22You just confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God
47:26has raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved.
47:28For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto
47:35salvation.
47:37And he goes on to say in Titus 3 verse 5, Ephesians 2 verse 8, Acts 1 verse 8, and so
47:41on, then he saves us by grace, through faith, that's your part, the gift of God washing
47:51away our sins, and giving us the new joy of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
47:58And you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses
48:02telling people about me everywhere.
48:04What does that mean?
48:05Well, you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God
48:11has raised Him from the dead, and then you invite Holy Spirit, God Himself, the Spirit
48:17of God to come and live inside of you.
48:20And He will come, and you become His temple, His synagogue, His church, His dwelling place.
48:28And He will be with you always, He will never forsake you.
48:32And He will guide you, He will protect you, He will comfort you, He will correct you,
48:35He will teach you, He will lead you throughout life.
48:40And He comes bearing gifts, He comes bearing spiritual gifts that we need, because remember
48:47we are made in His image, and since we are made in God's image, and God is spirit, therefore
48:51we are spirit beings with a soul and a body.
48:55We are not human beings but with bodies and soul and spirit, no, no, no.
49:01We are made in God's image, we are spirit beings with a soul and a body.
49:09This is your time, don't wait till tomorrow, you don't know if you have that time.
49:14You can do it on your own, there's no generic prayer, but for those who don't know what
49:19to say, if you want to do that with me, you can repeat after me right now.
49:22We can pray together, and then we're going to invite Holy Spirit to baptise us, to come
49:27and live inside of us.
49:28Are you ready?
49:29Let's do this together.
49:32From this day forward, Jesus, I make you my Lord and Saviour.
49:38Come into my life, forgive me of all the sins, wash me clean.
49:49Thank you, Father, for sending Jesus, and thank you for raising Him from the dead, giving
49:56us victory over the curse of sin, sickness, disease, poverty, and death.
50:09Now we have been resurrected, reborn in Christ Jesus, use my life for your glory.
50:21In Jesus' name, now come Holy Spirit.
50:27We invite you, we are hungry for you, we are ready, our hearts are ready for you.
50:33Fill us with your spirit, come, baptise us with Holy Spirit and fire, and activate the
50:42spirit of understanding in and through us, that we may grow closer and closer to you.
50:50In Jesus' name, amen, and amen, glory to God, hallelujah, congratulations, welcome
51:01back to the Kingdom family.
51:03Some of you are going through some manifestations right now, you're probably wondering what
51:06is happening to me, oh my God, what am I saying, that is a spiritual language, and it's in
51:16the Word of God, it's a sign that you've been baptised by the Holy Spirit, it's also
51:21a spiritual language between you and God, it empowers you, it helps you to mature, it
51:29helps you to grow closer to Him.
51:32It's Holy Spirit Himself speaking and groaning through us, it's a very intimate language
51:38between us and God Himself, so go for it, and pray in the Holy Spirit in that language
51:46as much as possible, amen?
51:50Also some of you may be feeling some heat going through your body right now, some of
51:52you maybe just had a healing in your body and you're wondering, oh my God, I don't have
51:58the pain anymore, my arm doesn't hurt anymore, my shoulder doesn't hurt, oh I can see, I
52:03can see perfectly, I was seeing blurry, now I can see perfectly, wow, my chest was aching,
52:08it's not aching anymore.
52:09Some of you feel like electricity is running through your body, some of you felt like a
52:12weight just lifted off your body, God has just touched you supernaturally, and it's
52:19manifesting in the physical, in this world, He is God after all, amen?
52:27He loves you that much, don't freak out, it is God moving in and through you, He's doing
52:32a great thing for you.
52:35This brings us to our second part of the program, which is called The Collective, where I spend
52:40time with those that are watching, those that are listening, and I pray, prophesy, whatever
52:44Holy Spirit leads me to do.
52:48If you have specific prayer requests, I encourage you to please write them down on the Facebook
52:53live chat section.
52:55If you're new, just gave your life to Jesus, you're listening for the first time, you need
52:59some help finding a church, finding an online church, maybe you can't go in person, send
53:06us a message.
53:08As you saw on the screen, lionsraw38 at gmail.com, and we've got another one, I forgot now, info
53:15at lionsraw38.com, I think it is, check out, it's on our website, and we'll do our best
53:22to help you, to assist you in getting connected with the church, because it's very important
53:26that you are connected with the body of Christ.
53:29We are not perfect, but Christ Jesus is, amen?
53:33And we need each other, we need each other to encourage each other, we need each other
53:36to help in our walk, in our journey of life, amen?
53:41Amen!
53:42This brings us to the Collective!
