00:00Telford a choice. Thank you to the returning officer, David, the whole team at the council,
00:07the police and all partner agencies for the count itself, but of course all of the work
00:13over the past couple of months to prepare for today. And thank you, and I say this from
00:20the bottom of my heart, to the people of Telford who have elected me tonight to be their Member
00:26of Parliament, their voice, their champion, as a proud son of this town, a town that I
00:32love, I will always stand up for Telford. Whether you voted for me or Labour for the
00:38first time, or a first time in a while, because you always support us each time, or you didn't
00:45vote for us this time, I commit today to be your MP, Telford's MP. I will be all of your
00:54voices in Parliament, working nationally to deliver more locally. I also look forward
01:00to working together with the next Labour government to rebuild our country.
01:12This change Labour Party of today is focused on the things that matter the most to working
01:20people and pensioners here in Telford. Economic security, lower bills, safer streets, the
01:28NHS back on its feet, securing our borders and opportunities for our young people and
01:34children. So that if this boy from Dordley can become the Member of Parliament for Telford
01:41then the sky's the limit for every Telford young person here in our borough.
