00:00It's Thursday 4th of July at 7 a.m. and the very first few people have been
00:04walking in and out casting their vote here at the polling station in
00:08Chichester. We'll be speaking to some of them and ask them about the importance
00:12of voting. I wanted to get it done. I live fairly near and so I just wanted to get
00:16it done and not have anything interfering with the rest of my day. I
00:20think it's very important for everybody to vote and obviously being a woman
00:24people fought for us and so I always vote. Quite often you go to the polling
00:30booth and there's no one else there do you know I mean so yeah hopefully
00:32fingers crossed this year people get up and vote. When I was younger to be
00:37honest I didn't vote when I was first of age to vote and I think that as I've got
00:41a little bit older you realise that actually it can make a big difference to
00:44your life in many different realms when you know what the different parties are
00:46offering and you can sort of go okay yeah I identify with that and that's
00:50important to me. You feel at least like you're having some sort of say. I'm here
00:53early in the morning to beat the rush because I live around the corner and I
01:01think it's very important that people vote. I think young people should be
01:04involved because they you know they are the future and it is their future we're
01:09talking about so I think they should vote and of course you know they have a
01:15different perspective on what should happen in the future and how politics
01:20what politics should do for us and what government should do for us.
