00:00More than Php 1 million worth of unregistered appliances were seen in two warehouses in Bulacan.

00:20verification, validation, surveillance, and test-buy were carried out

00:25by the Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau or FTEB of DTI in the warehouse in Plaridel, Bulacan.

00:30The appliances that were sold online were seen as unregistered, unsafe, and uncertified

00:36or did not pass inspection.

00:38Some of the unregistered appliances were seen were the washing machine, oven toaster, blender, electric fan, rice cooker, and multi-cooker.

00:46Upon checking, we saw that the rice cooker is not the only one that is not certified by the Bureau of Philippine Standards.

00:57We saw there the blenders, washing machine, electric fan, so that's it.

01:06More than Php 9.3 million worth of appliances were registered in two warehouses.

01:12When we say uncertified, this does not have a PS mark.

01:15This does not have an ICC.

01:17The PS mark is the Philippine Safety Mark.

01:19If you are a local manufacturer working here, you need to get a permit or license from the BPS of DTI.

01:27This is the Bureau of Philippine Standards.

01:29And if you are an importer, you should have an ICC, Import Commodity Clearance.

01:35The warehouses also do not have a permit, license, and safety mark.

01:39It is not safe and legal to use the products obtained here.

01:45It might explode, burn, and damage our lives and property.

01:50The products were confiscated.

01:52They will be disposed of and placed in DTI's warehouse for evidence.
