00:00The follow-up is, you know, 50 million-plus Americans
00:05saw the debate last Thursday.
00:10They get a very different story from you.
00:12You just described a very different-sounding President.
00:15Obviously, other administration officials
00:17described him very differently than what people saw.
00:19How do you reconcile those two versions of a President,
00:25one who appeared the way they did to millions of people
00:28and the other who appears always to be,
00:32you know, sort of very forceful and not have any of those?
00:35I mean, look, the President spoke to this.
00:38You heard me speak to this.
00:42We believe, and others have said this, not just me,
00:44other folks who have been on networks
00:47and also obviously has spoken to all of you,
00:50is it was a 90-minute debate.
00:54It was a bad night.
00:56That's what we believe it to be.
00:57We're not taking away what people saw.
01:00We're just not.
01:01I want to be very clear about that.
01:04And, you know, we want to also make sure people understand
01:12that the President realizes.
01:13You know, I keep saying this over and over again.
01:15He said he's not as young as he used to be,
01:17and he has addressed this over and over and over again.
01:21But you saw him last night, right?
01:23You saw him last night.
01:24You saw him at the rally.
01:26You saw him at the watch parties.
01:27There's been many instances, State of the Union,
01:30you saw him take on, take on Republicans by himself
01:36and what was happening back and forth in the State of the Union.
01:40There has been also many instances
01:43where the President has really showed his strength
01:48and resolute that all of you have seen
01:49and commented about it, you know?
01:52And so I think we cannot forget that as well.
01:56And we also heard from, you know, President Obama,
01:59who himself has said, you know, his first debate wasn't great.
02:04He talked about that.
02:06And most incumbents, their first debates aren't great.
02:09And so, look, we're going to continue to build
02:12on the unprecedented record
02:14by continuing to fight for the American people.
02:17That is our commitment,
02:18and that's what we're going to continue to do.
