00:00Before the witness, two warehouses in Bulacan that sells unregistered appliances were discussed by the Department of Trade and Industry.

00:11The product worth more than Php 9 million was used as a delectable product.

00:18After receiving complaints from some consumers,

00:25verification, validation, surveillance and test by the Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau or FTEB of DTI in the warehouse in Plaridel, Bulacan, was immediately carried out.

00:35The appliances sold online were found unregistered, unsafe and uncertified or did not pass the inspection.

00:43Some of the unregistered appliances were found are the washing machine, oven toaster, blender, electric fan, rice cooker and multi-cooker.

00:51Checking, we found that the rice cooker is not the only one that is not certified by the Bureau of Philippine Standards.

01:02We found the blenders, washing machine, electric fan. So it is included there.

01:11The appliance worth more than Php 9.3 million was registered in two warehouses.

01:17We said it is uncertified. It does not have a PS mark. It does not have an ICC. The PS mark is the Philippine Safety Mark.

01:24If you are a local manufacturer, you need to get a permit or license from the BPS of DTI.

01:32This is the Bureau of Philippine Standards.

01:34If you are an importer, you should have an ICC, Import Commodity Clearance.

01:40The warehouses also do not have a permit, license and safety mark.

01:43It is not safe and legal to use the products obtained here.

01:48We are pursuing safety and quality here.

01:52Those who buy online are cheap. It is cheap because it is imported.

01:57But that is the result.

02:00The products are unsafe and of poor quality.

02:04Imagine your washing machine, electric kettle, cooking utensils and household items.

02:11You will not be able to leave them.

02:13They might explode, burn or damage our lives and property.

02:16So it is dangerous.

02:20They will be searched and placed in the DTI warehouse for evidence.
