00:00Welcome back to another Minetest Mod Review. Today we are looking at the item
00:05physics mod, which as you can see in front of me here, makes dropped items not
00:12spin and it makes tools... I should probably rephrase that. It makes dropped
00:20nodes not spin. I mean items don't spin as well, but items also lay flat. So if I
00:26just toss this axe down here, see it lays flat on the ground, and if I try to... yeah
00:36I can kind of get it in some different orientations depending on how I'm
00:40looking. I don't know is that there's really...
00:46really doesn't seem to be any way of which way it lands. So I bet... yeah as you
00:56see I can keep throwing it and we're getting different orientations. So if you
01:06if you wanted to like drop items on the ground to use them as waypoints or to
01:11point signs, maybe that doesn't work, but you can see here that these
01:17items all drop. I can do it with a full stack. I can do it with single items. Of
01:24course the items will combine if they're too close and they're the same type of
01:27item. And any drops from from like a tree here, if I remove these trunk pieces, the
01:37leaves and the apples as they fall should also should not spin. So let's
01:46just... I think the leaves are already decaying. Yeah, okay. Let's get some drops
01:52here. Come on, come on. We got an apple. We got an apple. I don't know if we're gonna
01:58get any saplings up. I saw a sapling there. Let's take a look. What do we have?
02:04We have a sapling and we have an apple. There should be... oh here's another
02:11sapling. Very nice. Another apple. Very nice. Very nice. I don't know if there was
02:16anything else. No, that looks like that might be it that it dropped. Let's see.
02:28Let's see if we can't... how about we do this. If I dig the dirt, let's see what
02:35happens to this grass node up here. Drops lays flat. Okay, good to know. Let's
02:48see, what else? What else would there be that would, generally speaking, fall that
02:56you would ever... I can't think of anything else. I mean all the plants would do the
03:01same thing. Sand node should continue to fall as per usual. I don't imagine that
03:09would do anything different. However, let's just do this and grab some TNT
03:16here. There we go. There we go. That should be enough, I think. And maybe let's grab a
03:27torch as well, just so we can, you know, light TNT up. And we'll just do a quick
03:34little hole here. I don't actually know what the whole point of this is other
03:39than to to blow stuff up because he doesn't love blowing things up, right?
03:44Come on. No, I want to... there we go, there we go. I really don't want to fall in
03:50because that would be hazardous to my health. All right. Let's hope we can get
03:57far enough away. There we go. Okay, cool. Now we can check out the carnage, such as
04:04it is. All right. Well, there's really not much to say here. The cobble's not
04:13spinning. The dirt's not spinning. Evidently... oh, that's not optimal,
04:20but we'll worry about that at a later date. By which I mean we'll never worry
04:24about it. I see the... oh. I don't see any plants, so I'm assuming any plants that
04:32did exist were just destroyed by the explosion. Which is fine, which is fine,
04:36because we already know how plants react when the node below them is removed.
04:40They fall and lay flat on their side, as is expected. This fire can rage as much
04:47as it wants. I'm not really worried about it because... well, I'll never use this
04:55world again. There you have it. It's a pretty simple mod. I don't really know
05:04what else there is to say. The items don't spin. I do see that this could
05:10actually make it a little more difficult to find drops if you are in some place
05:15with a lot of grass. Which, of course, I don't have any such place around to
05:20really show this in. These sitting... oh, actually, you know what? I have some grass
05:25and I'm in creative, so you know what? I have just... I have just proven myself
05:31incorrect. So if we just throw some grass out here... now I can't really show
05:37the difference between the spinning and the non-spinning variety, of course,
05:41because this is all non-spinning. But I could see that in some cases, dropped
05:50items that are now laying flat, depending on where you're located and what the
05:55items are, could be a little harder to spot. Like, from this specific one vantage
06:01point, we can't really tell that there are... what's even over here? There's a
06:06sword, there's a stick, and there's a torch. It's kind of... it's kind of hidden by the
06:09grass. Whereas I feel if those were spinning items, you know, they'd be
06:14sticking up a little higher, so it'd be a little easier to spot them. Whether or
06:18not that's a good or a bad thing, this is really, um, you know, up to you. Oh, a
06:26butterfly! I was like, what just needs to light up? It's really up to you, the viewer. So if
06:32you are interested in downloading this mod, you can find it on the content
06:35database, in-game browser, or obviously all the links will be on my website,
06:40which will be linked down in the description below, as always. Thanks for
06:44watching, and I will see you next time.
