00:00Brock Lesnar had one of the swiftest and quickest downfalls in WWE for a star of his caliber,
00:10if you can call it a downfall just yet.
00:13But it wasn't long ago when WWE couldn't get enough of him and position him in the
00:17most important stories and matches.
00:20It all came crashing down when an implication in a lawsuit that was otherwise not about
00:24him.
00:25We're not saying he's a victim here or anything, but before this he had a pretty
00:29good reputation if not a squeaky clean one.
00:32He was the guy who came to work a few times a day, created big moments, collected big
00:37paychecks and went back into the Canadian wilderness to do whatever Brock Lesnar does.
00:42More than anything, he was known to be a nice guy outside of the ring with many WWE stars
00:48having positive things to say about him.
00:50It was the Royal Rumble season, which meant that the road to Wrestlemania was beginning,
00:55you know, the time when WWE brings out some of the big guns.
00:59Once the lawsuit came out, WWE was quick to cancel his planned return at Rumble and subsequently
01:04his entire Wrestlemania storyline, whatever it was going to be.
01:09But by the time Wrestlemania 40's season came around, it was almost like people forgot
01:13that he was there.
01:15It feels odd to have a Wrestlemania season without Brock Lesnar, but this felt like it
01:19was the first time when WWE really didn't need him for the show of shows.
01:39When Triple H was asked about Brock Lesnar's status in the post-Wrestlemania press conference,
01:44he confirmed that not only were the rumors of the cancelled Royal Rumble appearance true,
01:48but he stated that Lesnar is still very much with WWE.
01:52As for where Lesnar is now and what he's doing, Triple H simply said that Brock was
01:56at home doing Brock things.
01:59The previous regime with Vince McMahon seemingly did very little negotiation with Brock Lesnar,
02:04who got what he wanted.
02:05Don't get us wrong, if he could negotiate multi-million dollar deals for limited dates,
02:11nobody can fault him for that.
02:12But the same may not happen under the new regime.
02:16This is important to remember.
02:18The change in regime is likely going to be the biggest difference in whether or not Lesnar
02:21even returns to WWE.
02:24Ari Emanuel, Nick Khan and whoever else made the decision knew that they were walking on
02:29very thin ice with the Lesnar situation.
02:32In hindsight, it was probably the right call to scrap any plans they had for the Beast
02:36Incarnate at Wrestlemania.
02:38With rumors that Lesnar signed his last WWE contract up until 2024, it's going to be
02:44interesting to see whether WWE extends his contract or if there's some sort of an agreement
02:49for a few more matches.
02:50Let's be real, Brock Lesnar is going to get a huge pop if or when he comes back and
03:00WWE knows it, but is he actually going to return?
03:04Let's assume it happens and we see Brock Lesnar return.
03:08There are essentially going to be two divided reactions.
03:11The vast majority of fans, including the live in-person audience, will be more than
03:16excited to see the return of a legend for the first time since Summerslam 2023.
03:27The minority, a very vocal minority, are going to go online to express their displeasure
03:32over WWE bringing him back considering the circumstances.
03:38When Triple H was asked in the post-Rumble press conference about what WWE was going
03:42to do going forward to avoid another Janelle Grant situation, his answer was quote, everything,
03:49end quote.
03:50If WWE is vowing to do everything in their power to avoid a Janelle Grant situation,
03:55does it not look like a huge bit of hypocrisy to bring back one of the names directly implicated
04:00in their lawsuit?
04:02We can only speculate that the higher ups in WWE and TKO would genuinely love to have
04:07a big name like Lesnar back, but they're also acutely aware of the negative implications
04:11of it.
04:12It's going to come down to whether they decide that there is more good than bad in
04:16bringing him back.
04:17But to do so, more time is going to need to pass for fans to overlook the lawsuit situation.
04:23The story may have died down a lot from January 2024, but all it takes is one spark for everything
04:29to pick back up again.
04:30We should remind you that this story is the most media coverage WWE got in an extremely
04:35long time, and we mean proper mainstream media coverage.
04:39Sure, Lesnar may have been implicated in one part of the lawsuit, but it's tied to a
04:44much larger one about the most powerful man in the history of the professional wrestling
04:48industry.
04:49The unfortunate reality is that the actual morality of the situation will likely have
04:54very little weight on WWE's decision.
04:56It's going to be more about whether it's harmful PR or not.
05:01WWE might just be waiting for the lawsuit to play out so more truth comes to light that
05:05will help aid their decision.
05:07WWE may even already know what the truth is, but the decision will be based on how bad
05:12things get publicly with the McMahon allegations and how much more comes out.
05:16Imagine what it's going to be like for WWE if they get a viral moment of Brock Lesnar
05:21returning only for Wall Street Journal and other mainstream media outlets to remind people
05:25that the guy they brought in was accused in one of the biggest scandals WWE has seen in
05:30years.
05:31It wouldn't be surprising if Brock Lesnar just decided that he was done and didn't
05:35want to come back.
05:36He already kind of did that during the pandemic.
05:38As for WWE, we doubt they're going to rush into deciding on Brock Lesnar's future.
05:44It just makes sense for them to wait and see how it plays out.
05:47Do they want him to return?
05:49Probably.
05:50Will he end up returning?
05:53Probably not.
05:54But then again, it's WWE, so you can never say never.
05:58One thing is for sure, if Brock Lesnar does come back, then be ready for his last ride.
06:05Thank you for watching.
