All you need to know about Pride in Liverpool

00:00Liverpool City Region's Pride Festival is set to return and will see tens of thousands of people
00:05celebrate the LGBTQ plus community. Pride Fringe events will take place throughout July
00:11and the official Pride in Liverpool Festival will take place on Saturday 27th of July.
00:16Pride in Liverpool will return to the city's iconic Pier Head for what organisers say will be
00:20an even bigger Pride Festival. Katrina, formerly of Katrina and the Waves, will headline the festival
00:26at the world-famous waterfront. The annual March in Pride will begin at midday at St George's
00:30Plateau, heading through the city centre and Pride Quarter before finishing on the waterfront.
00:35A new event for 2024, Pride Classical, will see an ensemble of LGBTQ plus artists and an orchestra
00:42take to the stage to perform the best Pride anthems of the last 50 years. The ticketed event is part
00:48of efforts to keep the festival free. This year's Pride in Liverpool will also be held alongside the
00:53British Firefighter Challenge, an annual competition for fire service personnel from across the country.
