Wimbledon fans excited for the London tennis championship

We speak to excited tennis fans heading into south west London’s Wimbledon.

00:04Sense of seeing something that you've seen on the TV and then seeing it for real

00:08So Iona's just done a GCSE so she's not off school

00:11So it's an ideal time to come and and go in for the first time

00:15And Iona, how are you feeling? Are you excited?

00:17I'm feeling really excited because obviously I've watched it for ages and dad's told me about like come in

00:20So it's really exciting to see it for real

00:24Should be a great tournament.

00:25Yeah, we come from Finland and this is first time for us and we are really waiting what what we will have here because it

00:31Looks already so beautiful

00:33Are you excited about seeing anyone in particular this year?

00:35Anyone in particular? I haven't seen Al-Kharaz and Sinur play in person yet

00:39So I'm looking forward to seeing them. I saw Sinur play once but he was on one of the tiny courts a few years ago

00:44So yeah, probably those two

00:46Sinur of course and today we have also the Finnish player Otto Virtanen

00:51And of course right now starting the Norwegian player Ruud

00:57I like Sinur because I think you know, there's a change in the guard in the men's game

01:00I mean, you know, I really hope Andy Murray

01:02We won't get to see him today, but he gets to do himself justice ideally with his brother

01:06I think to finish but in terms of the future, I think Sinur is an exciting player and he's scheduled on court one

01:16What does it kind of feel like when you're over here?

01:19Fabulous, we live in Portobello Road and it's so beautiful there

01:25We were, two years ago we were here last time and we always find a new wonderful places here

01:34I love coming here in the summer, like Wimbledon, best place to come, it's always very lively

01:39Yeah, watch it in my office as well

01:42There's definitely a buzz, you know, a bit of a, especially if the weather's right, it's a summer buzz

01:46We just got off at King's Cross and then you see the branding on the tube stations

01:50London's a fantastic place and there's so much going on

01:53But this time of year is great with the Euros as well

01:56Yeah, it's an exciting time
