00:00Hi everyone, Jeff from Outdoors in the Low Countries.
00:27In this video we are going to unbox and test this high pressure water cleaner from Güde,
00:32the GHD 225. With hardware stores here in the Low Countries, this Güde high pressure washer
00:39is also sold under a local brand, Waterland HD 22M5MD. The maximum pressure of this water
00:47cleaner is 225 bar or 3260 PSI and the working pressure is 150 bar. The per material is brass
00:57and the engine power is 3.2 kW. And the water delivery is 540 liters per hour.
01:04Now this water cleaning is being sold by a local hardware store here in the neighborhood,
01:08so let's have a look at it, what's inside the box and how well does it perform.
01:21So it comes with the manual, a pistol, the elongation of the pistol,
01:25the connector for the water coupling, some holder materials. At the back side
01:35you can see different types of nozzles and a reservoir for soap. Also some brackets to wind
01:40your mains cable around it and a nice way to store your water hose. So let's now mount the
01:45holder for the gun. The top side with a click connection. The bottom side uses a screw with
01:54a crosshead. The quick connect for the water supply.
02:04You need a 22 millimeter wrench in order to screw the main tube onto the gun.
02:12Now inside the gun you see there's a shaft to take out the particles in the water supply
02:15that will protect your nozzles from getting blocked, so that's a very good thing.
02:20So let's now connect the gun to the high pressure water hose.
02:24And the system is ready to go. So at the front side you'll find the on-off knob
02:29as well as the knob that controls the amount of soap that's being taken up by the soap dispenser.
02:36Two brackets where you can wind your mains cable around and the hose reel with a trigger hose.
02:40And there's also a safety pole on the gun, so in this case you cannot enable the switch.
02:45At the back side you see four different type of nozzles that you can connect to with your
02:49quick connect of the gun. So the color of the nozzle indicates what the angle is of the
02:54water beam that comes out. The red nozzle is the one with the zero degree beam angle,
03:00so it gives the highest pressure. And it can be used to clean high areas or areas hard to reach.
03:05And this nozzle should only be used on areas that can withstand this high pressure, like metal or
03:11concrete. And this nozzle should not be used on wood. The yellow nozzle has a 15 degrees spray
03:17pattern for intense cleaning of larger areas. It still has quite a high pressure and it should be
03:23used to clean brick, concrete and other hard surfaces with stubborn stains. The white nozzle
03:29has a 40 degrees spray pattern and it's less powerful and it can be used for a wide area
03:36of cleaning jobs. And the black nozzle has a 65 degrees spray pattern and can be used to apply
03:42special chemicals and cleaning solutions and detergents. And it is the weakest pressure
03:47stream of the nozzles. So it's a handy feature and can be easily used to take a nozzle, connect it
03:58and it is mounted. And when you're finished, take it out, put it back in place and you're
04:04put it back in place so you don't lose it. At the back side of the manual you can see there's
04:10a cleaning pin that can be used to clean out the nozzle in the case there's debris inside
04:15and make sure it's flowing again. So in the shop they also sold these turbo heads.
04:19I think this is for the rotary cleaning that you see in many high pressure water systems.
04:25So I also took this one. This one is not standard delivered,
04:29but I think it's good to have it anyway. So let's test it.
04:35So the length of both the mains cable as well as the water supply hose to its gun is about five
04:38meters. So the water supply is now being connected. System is still off. So let's
04:43now first bleed the system so that all the remaining air is outside.
05:04Okay, so let's now turn on the system.
05:16So let's test the different type of nozzles. First the rotary cleaner.
05:23The red beam.
05:23Yellow.
05:36White.
05:40And the black one.
05:44The nice thing is that you can turn the angle on the gun while cleaning.
05:54Here you see an old chair and we always use a high pressure water cleaner
05:58to clean it. So let's now try it with this device.
06:02So
06:22this is the turbo cleaner. I think it does a very good job.
06:26So let's now also try the other ones, see what the difference is.
06:33So this is the red one. It should not be used to wood. So let's try it then.
06:51So it has a very strong beam as you could see.
06:54And of course it's not good for the wood because you open up the fibers.
06:58But yeah, for metal and concrete it's a strong thing.
07:04The yellow one.
07:24The white one.
07:28So
07:37and also this one still has a very good cleaning performance.
07:51So let's compare it with yellow again.
08:21Let's see if we can take these spots with the yellow one.
08:31It did.
08:38So
08:45now let's also find out while the pressure washer is cleaning the bricks.
08:57So it is a very powerful beam and you have to be careful
09:00not to remove the sand in between. So let's also use yellow.
09:08So
09:15now yellow gives a very nice result indeed. The white one.
09:34Still quite good cleaning. A little bit less powerful but still good.
09:38And the turbo nozzle.
09:57That went quite well. So the test has shown that the pressure cleaner
10:00shows very good cleaning results. I like the quick connect systems with the different nozzles
10:05which you can easily change. And it gives good performance.
10:08So I also would like to compare it with two other high pressure washers that I have.
10:12The lever wash and the kercher. But that's something for another video.
10:16So thanks for watching and see you next time.
10:35Bye.
