'Hyperactive Sunspot' Unleashing Multiple X And M Flares

Sunspot AR3663 has been incredibly active with multiple X and M-class flares last month. In early May there was a powerful X4.5-class solar flare, one of the largest of the year.

NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory captured the fireworks.
