00:00So those are some interesting numbers on the odds, uh, coach for the rookie of the year.
00:08Uh, there's a couple of guys down at the bottom of that board at 20 to one that, uh, it, they,
00:14it seems like some value there with, uh, Dillingham and playing in here to, uh, to pull down this
00:19award mostly because they're probably going to get a lot of action this year.
00:22Well, obviously with Portland, they're going to try and move Robert Williams who just can't
00:27stay healthy.
00:28And Deandre who has never been nominating, uh, the nomination, even though he's talked
00:33about it at will, uh, but to me, you know, Zach Edie was the guy I looked at.
00:39Right.
00:40And I think he was 20 to one after the draft.
00:42He, he got his price sliced in half in a day reason being, listen, he's shown he can play
00:49big minutes in the NCAA tournament, right.
00:51In the final four, the guy basically never came off the floor.
00:54If you look at it, if Zach Edie gets 24 minutes a night, he's going to get you eight, nine
01:00rebounds.
01:01And he's probably going to get you 13, 14 points because you have the shooter in Desmond
01:05Bain.
01:06You have John driving a basket.
01:07Uh, you have to have Jared Jackson Jr.
01:09Shut you in the floor.
01:10So to me, he's in that dunk spot.
01:12I just think in the NBA, it's seven foot four guys.
01:16Are you going to double team him or are you going to play him straight up?
01:18So to me, I look at Zach Edie as being someone I look at now.
01:23You brought up someone very interesting at 20 to one, and that's Rob Dillingham.
01:29Simply put, he could be the best pure score in the draft.
01:36And I'm going to lump in Rob and with Minnesota.
01:40What they did getting Rob and Terrence Shannon Jr. was absolute gold.
01:48Those two are electric.
01:50They're great in transition.
01:52They're great defensively.
01:53And now a team that has a starting lineup of Conley, Ant, McDaniels, Towns, Gobert,
02:00and it plays slow, can flip it completely with the second group and go Dillingham, Shannon
02:07Jr., Slo Mo Anderson, who can play a point forward, and then Nas Reed.
02:12I thought that's absolutely fantastic.
02:14And think about the end of the game that a team like Minnesota could go with Shannon
02:20Jr., Ant, and Dillingham in a three-guard lineup down the stretch of games if you want
02:26to score.
02:27That's a problem for teams.
02:29Rob Dillingham is going to score.
02:31He's got a little bit of that Lou Williams, Jamal Crawford, go get a bucket at will.
02:35And there's not a lot of guys in this draft, guys, that are going to score in double figures.
02:41Rob Dillingham can make a case for winning Rookie of the Year coming off the bench.
