Labour: It’s Farage’s job to tackle racism within Reform UK

Labour’s Darren Jones says that it is the responsibility of Reform UK leader, Nigel Farage to tackle racism within the party. He said: “When it comes to a political party, if there is evidence of this type of behaviour, it is incumbent on the leaders of those parties to take swift and decisive action.” It comes as a Channel 4 investigation filmed a canvasser saying that migrants crossing the Channel should be used as “target practice”. 00:00Racism is illegal, and we don't expect that from anybody in our country, irrespective of whether
00:06they're involved in politics or not. But when it comes to a political party, if there's evidence
00:11of this type of behaviour, which there clearly is, it's incumbent on the leaders of those parties to
00:15take swift and decisive action to make it clear that that type of behaviour is not welcome in
00:19British politics. Nigel Farage is the leader of the Reform Party, so yes, the buck does stop with
00:24him. If you look to the way in which Keir Starmer runs the Labour Party, for example, any drop in
00:32the standards of behaviour or ethics from any of us is dealt with in a very swift and clear manner,
00:37and that's what we should expect of all political parties.
