00:00Happy Sabbath, everyone, and happy Sabbath, Elder Skeet.
00:06Happy Sabbath, my handsome brother. God bless you.
00:09You're handsome as well. God created you.
00:12Oh, thank you. Thank you. I'm surprised. Thanks.
00:14All right. So we have a third question that's actually taken from Revelation 14, verse 5.
00:20And I'll read it first. It says,
00:22And in their mouth was found no guile.
00:25And also it says, for they are without fault before the throne of God.
00:30So the question is, Elder Skeet, Revelation 14, verse 5 tells us that the 144,000 are found without fault before the throne of God.
00:41By what means are they without fault? And did they ever sin?
00:46Of course they sinned. The only person who never sinned is Jesus Christ.
00:50Of course they sinned, but they conquered sin.
00:53The sacrifice of Christ, which includes his life, his very difficult life, his death, his resurrection, all of that must be regarded as a sacrifice of Christ, the atonement of Christ.
01:04All of that provides the power for us to live above sin.
01:09We can conquer sin.
01:11You see, I can do all things through Christ.
01:14The power to conquer sin is in Christ's atonement, which sometimes is referred to as his blood.
01:21That is the power.
01:22And so we are required to conquer sin.
01:25If you study the seven letters to the seven churches of Revelation, chapters 2 and 3, each one is told to overcome.
01:32Even the two churches that received no rebuke, Smyrna Church No. 2 and Philadelphia Church No. 6, they received no rebuke from Christ, yet they're told, he that overcometh shall not be heard of a second death, as Christ told the second church, Smyrna.
01:46And so overcoming, overcoming.
01:48Revelation 321, to him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame.
01:56We must overcome sin the way Christ was victorious.
02:00Yes, they have overcome sin, but they have not lived sinless lives.
02:04Only Christ did that.
02:05But we have available to us, through the living Christ, the power to conquer sin.
02:11And those persons have conquered sin, and that the final generation on this earth when Jesus Christ comes, will have conquered sin, so that Christ can present them, or God the Father can present them to the universe, to finally disprove the charge of Satan, that God's law cannot be perfectly kept.
02:28Jesus did it, but he was only one witness, and the Jewish tradition says you need two or three witnesses.
02:34The final generation, those who conquer sin in the power of Christ, will be the second witness God needs.
02:40Here is Christ, and here are those who live a Christlike life.
02:43And so that group in Revelation 14, 5, they have conquered sin through Christ.
02:49And that challenge is for us.
02:52Everyone who comes to Christ, that person's aim must be Christlikeness, total conquest of sin, because one sin unattended will destroy you.
03:01The smallest sin, the least so-called significant bad habit will destroy a person if it is not dealt with.
03:09One sin put Adam out of the garden, one sin can ruin things in heaven.
03:13And so conquest of sin is absolutely necessary, and there will be those alive on the earth who have conquered sin through Christ.
03:22They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of the testimony, Revelation 12, 11.
03:28You have conquered sin.
03:31Amen, amen.
03:33And one of the verses that I'll connect on to that is also in Jude 1, 24.
03:37It says, now that God is able to keep you from falling, to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.
03:45Absolutely, yes.
03:46The power of Jesus.
03:48It must be a personal desire of ours.
03:51It does not happen by osmosis.
03:53Jesus said, blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness.
03:59Righteousness is the opposite of sin.
04:02And so we must hunger and thirst for this character of Christ, which is flawless righteousness.
04:08It is possible through him, because it is he living out that life in us.
04:14Amen, amen.
04:23Amen.
