00:00He is mentioned as a potential vice presidential selection for former President Donald Trump,
00:05Senator J.D. Vance from Ohio, RNC co-chair Laura Trump.
00:10Good to see you both.
00:11How are you?
00:12Good.
00:13How are you doing?
00:14Laura, great to see you.
00:15Thank you.
00:16Great to see you.
00:17OK, first I need to apologize to you.
00:18I did not know your life story.
00:19Everybody in the world read your book, except me, because I get a pile of papers this high
00:23every day to study for four hours being on air.
00:27And I saw your movie.
00:28Wow.
00:29And I was so inspired by your life, I was blown away.
00:32And amazing life story.
00:36So what does it mean to you to be considered to be Donald Trump's vice president on top
00:41of that story?
00:42Well, look, man, it's an incredible honor just to be here and just to have the opportunity
00:46to serve the people of Ohio, of course, to be considered as vice president.
00:49My life has been crazy.
00:50And it's a testament to how incredible this country is that a kid like me has been given
00:53the opportunities that I've been given.
00:55You know, whether it's in the Senate or some other role, I kept on thinking about how this
01:01debate would look through the eyes of someone who grew up like I did.
01:03I remember my grandmother negotiating with a Meals on Wheels person to get more food
01:08so that she could sort of share some with me.
01:09That was in the movie.
01:10That was in the movie.
01:11And, you know, you think about this when Joe Biden talks about how inflation is all Donald
01:15Trump's fault.
01:16Inflation was 1.4 percent when Donald Trump was president.
01:19And, you know, grocery prices have gone up 30, 40, 50 percent, depending on the item
01:24that you're talking about.
01:25That hurts real people.
01:26That means real people can't afford to get the food that they want for their kids and
01:29their grandkids.
01:30The contrast between these two was so extraordinary.
01:33The energy of Donald Trump, the meandering of Joe Biden, the fact that Joe Biden seemed
01:37to forget his talking points, Donald Trump was in command of the facts.
01:41Sean, I just think this was such a remarkable contrast for the American people to see.
01:46And more importantly than any debate performance, this shows the difference in how they're going
01:49to govern.
01:50Who do you want to be the president of the United States for the next four years?
01:54Watching this debate performance, I think the obvious answer is Donald Trump.
01:57You know, and that does bring us to the point about your father-in-law and the fact that
02:02he had such a command of issues.
02:04Now, a lot of people were asking me in the lead up to tonight, how do I think that Donald
02:08Trump's going to do?
02:09Well, I happened to be with him about two weeks ago, as you know, I did an interview.
02:13We did about an hour and 15 minutes.
02:15Then he went to do an interview with Dr. Phil for about an hour and 15 minutes.
02:18Then he went to a dinner for about two and a half hours.
02:22And he was so conversant on every issue and he was so well-versed and none of it rehearsed.
02:29There was a lot of talk.
02:31He barely prepared for this debate and he seemed so ready and so dialed in and so in
02:39command of the issues.
02:41Nothing fazed him.
02:42Some people thought he would react to Joe or the moderators.
02:45He didn't react to anything.
02:46Well, and I loved that about this performance.
02:48If you watched him the whole time, people said, what Donald Trump are we going to get?
02:52He was calm.
02:53He was concise.
02:54He was direct.
02:55Everything that he said resonated with the American people.
02:59And a lot of times people wonder, well, what is he doing to debate prep?
03:03You just said it, Sean.
03:05This is his life.
03:06This is what he does every single day.
03:07And I think his quote was, I've been preparing for this my whole life.
03:11And if you were president for four years and you actually were a successful president as
03:15he was, you do understand the issues.
03:17You understand what needs to happen.
03:19You understand how to get this country back.
03:21You understand where we've gone astray and what Joe Biden has done that has destroyed
03:25this country.
03:26And so he, of course, had command of the entire debate because of that.
03:30But to JD's point, look, we have a huge contrast on our hands now when you look at these two
03:37men on a stage.
03:38And I think that's why this debate was so vital for the American people.
03:42You almost didn't need to watch it, Sean, with the sound on to see the difference between
03:45these two men.
03:46It's weakness versus strength.
03:48We need strength right now in this country.
03:50We need to get this country back.
03:52The American people are desperate for it.
03:54And it's Donald Trump who will deliver.
03:55I'm going to show a montage in a short period.
03:59Robert, do we have that montage available?
04:03Because it was Joe Biden when he wasn't even speaking, when it was split screen and he
04:09was on camera and that that that stare that he just seemed like he wasn't there.
04:17And we actually have it.
04:19Let's show it now.
04:21Yeah.
04:22Now, I want to talk about this.
04:24So when we cut this, I said to my staff, I said, guys, I just want you to get Joe Biden
04:29when Donald Trump is speaking and not and just staring into space.
04:35I mean, if I was going to use words, I'd say it was like the stare of an empty vessel.
04:41And I really am wondering, there's something wrong here.
04:46And I'm you know, it's kind of amazing, because for four years, I pointed this out before
04:51the 2020 election.
04:53You know, we all deserve to be self-evident, all men and women created by the thing.
04:59And nobody would pay attention.
05:01And I got hit by the liberal media.
05:04Oh, that's so unfair.
05:05Sean Hannity, I'd say I was kind of vindicated, like our coverage of the Russian hoax after
05:10three years.
05:11We got it right.
05:12They got it wrong.
05:13What does this mean going forward?
05:14What are the Democrats going to do?
05:16Well, look, I think they're going to desperately try to get Joe Biden off the ticket because
05:20he was such a disaster tonight.
05:22But they can't.
05:23It's too late.
05:24They have let their voters basically they gave them one choice.
05:26They gave him the Joe Biden choice.
05:29And that's that's what they're stuck with in presenting this case to the American people.
05:33And it's so funny, Sean, you hear Democratic operatives now and we have we have the spin
05:37room behind us.
05:38They're talking about how they don't want Joe Biden on the ticket anymore.
05:41Well, what is a bigger threat to democracy than running this entire primary process and
05:46then effectively throwing a guy off because he had a disastrous debate performance?
05:50This is the choice that Democrats have offered the American people.
05:53I'm proud the Republicans offered a different choice and I think they're going to make the
05:55right one.
05:56Laura, you get the last word.
05:57Yeah, I think that this is this is obviously very clear to the American people.
06:02And if it wasn't before, if you were an independent voter and you watched that debate, there is
06:06no doubt you came out understanding that Donald Trump is the leader we need in this country.
06:11He was the only leader on that debate stage.
06:14And honestly, Sean, when I watched it, there were moments I actually felt sad about Joe
06:17Biden.
06:18And then I thought more.
06:19And I said, you know what?
06:20I'm not going to be sad.
06:21I'm actually about to.
06:22But you know what else?
06:23I felt anger.
06:24Yes.
06:25I felt anger because, you know, President Xi and Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un and the
06:30mullahs in Iran, who Biden has been sucking up to, they're all watching this and they
06:35see a weak United States of America under his, quote, leadership.
06:40And he surrendered in the war on terror by abandoning Israel in many ways and not supporting
06:45their offensive efforts to win their war against terror.
06:48And I'm mad because the mainstream media propped Joe Biden up.
06:52They allowed him to hide in his basement.
06:53We all tried to call this out in 2020.
06:55We did.
06:56We were all told that we were crazy.
06:57I was told that I was making fun of a stutter that nobody knew Joe Biden had.
07:01This is the problem whenever you do not allow the American people transparency.
07:06You get this.
07:07All right.
07:08Thank you both.
07:09I really appreciate it.
