00:00On a separate note, Mr. Raja, I thought of you today because a question was raised in the Supreme Court on the issue of reserved seats and the Lawyer of the Election Commission was not getting an answer.

00:11He was asked, why was the candidate not considered for justice?

00:14And why did the Election Commission confuse everyone with the election sign?

00:17And the candidates who gave the party's certificate, including you, why was the Jamaat not imagined with this?

00:25And this is exactly the challenge you were grappling with, sir.

00:27It was also asked, where did the election sign come from? How did this work go?

00:32In the rest of the Jamaat, this clarity that you had pre-election, that I have a relationship with the PTI, I have a certificate.

00:38Why did the rest of the political party not have this kind of clarity?

00:42No, there was clarity at all.

00:45Look, when on January 13, the Election Commission announced, and the representatives of the Election Commission were all returning officers,

00:53that we will not consider you a Jamaat, your candidates will be given the symbol that is specific to free candidates.

01:01Look, there were two types of symbols that the ROs had.

01:04One was the list of candidates for the party, and the other was the list of candidates for free candidates.

01:13So every candidate of ours was told that the symbol given in the list of free candidates,

01:19you can demand a symbol from that, and if we have to give it, we will give it to you.

01:25But you cannot demand the symbol of any party, because we are no longer accepting you as a party.

01:31This was a very clear decision of the Election Commission.

01:35I challenged this, I filed a writ in the High Court, I said that the rule they take support of is contrary to the constitution.

01:42But the High Court told us to go back to the Election Commission.

01:46In my opinion, this was a wrong decision, the High Court should have made its own decision.

01:50The Election Commission took support of the same rule and said that we will not consider you a Jamaat.

01:56After that, when we went to the Supreme Court against the High Court's decision,

02:00the Supreme Court's registrar's office returned our appeal, saying that the case has gone too far,

02:07the election is about to take place, so it is not appropriate to listen to your appeal.

02:12At that time, we were really close to such an election, but still, I think the Supreme Court should have listened to our appeal.

02:18But the election takes place, and in the election, the moment this nation is divided, I myself am divided.

02:25After that, there is a long list of our cases, which is made.

02:32At every step, the Election Commission tried to stop us.

02:35We went to the Election Commission to ask for justice, but there we realized that we have come to the wrong place.

02:41And our battle is now with the Election Commission.

02:44So this is a matter that we have to look at in full context.

02:49If we think that the PTI has not identified itself as a Jamaat, then this is not fair at all.

02:58We tried our best to be recognized as a Jamaat.

03:01Our candidates should be recognized as members of the PTI.

03:06But the Election Commission opposed us at every stage.

03:09But sir, this has been asked again and again by the Chief Justice of Pakistan,

03:13why did you not get the election done, who told you to go to Sunni jihad, it was suicidal.

03:17Now, on behalf of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faiz Issa,

03:20for many weeks, the decision of January 13th has been defended.

03:27And today, Justice Muneeb Akhtar finally gave an observation that

03:32the purpose of the Supreme Court was not to remove Sirhan Tehreek-e-Insaab from the elections.

03:37Do you see a departure from what the Chief Justice has been asserting throughout?

03:45Do you feel that the entire issue of the decision is now being put on the interpretation of the Election Commission?

03:54No, no, look, what is happening is that the decision of the election commission

03:59which was rejected from the decision of the Supreme Court on January 13th,

04:03is happening with that reference.

04:05The decision of January 13th is not being discussed now.

04:09The discussion is whether the Election Commission should have refused to accept PTI as a community based on that decision.

04:19Should the hopefuls of PTI have refused to accept them as hopefuls of PTI or not?

04:26And it is obvious that whoever is in the bench,

04:31everyone agrees that the Election Commission made a mistake.

04:35And because of this mistake, the entire election and now the issue of reserved seats

04:41has gone to a very dark valley.

04:48But now it is obvious that our intention is that the Supreme Court should shed light and create light

04:54and the purpose of the bill should be achieved.

04:58The purpose of the bill is not that the effect of crores of votes on reserved seats should be eliminated.
