00:00When the temperature reached 40 degrees, the refrigerators were filled with dead bodies.
00:04700 people lost their lives.
00:06After 72 hours of extreme heat, it rained and the temperature tripled to 400 degrees.
00:11Even in extreme heat, the electricity remained off for 18 hours.
00:14And in the rain, the residents of the city did not even see the shape of the burning bulb.
00:19This is the brief situation of the city of Karachi,
00:21where the same community has been in power for the past 18 years.
00:26In their different cities, the intensity of the heat was broken by the rain.
00:30But the first drop of rain in the city fell.
00:33Hundreds of K-Electric feeders, PMTs, and substations were tripped.
00:38In Sukkur, Ladkana, and Mehra,
00:41due to heavy rains, water has entered homes in drunken areas.
00:46Whereas in Sukkur, more than 400 feeders have been tripped.
00:49According to K-Electric, 13 in Sarjani,
00:5225 in Johar, and 5 in Gulshan have been tripped.
00:56Apart from this, 60 in Aurangi, 2 in Defence, 2 in Baldia, and 3 in Society have been tripped.
01:02Most of the areas of Karachi have been submerged in darkness.
01:05A large number of K-Electric residents took to the streets at night.
01:09In Lyakatabad and Gharibabad, people protested against the long load shedding of K-Electric.
01:14In the protest, a large number of women and children were seen.
01:19The protestors, holding play cards in their hands, also protested.
01:22The protestors said that in different areas,
01:25K-Electric is shut down for hours in the name of technical faults.
01:28The citizens are not at ease.
01:30In Sindh High Court, a request has been made against the terrible load shedding in Karachi.
01:34Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that many months have passed since the election.
01:39He has won for the fifth time.
01:40The past and present assembly should be seen working.
01:43A month ago, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari instructed the government to set up an open court.
01:48Not only the people, but also the people should be consulted.
01:51And to go to the courts.
01:53The courts were not set up.
01:54However, the people have put their case on the streets.
01:58One case is of the basic need of the people.
02:01The second is the most important case.
02:03Its nature is enough to shame politics.
02:06In the full court, there were comments on the illegality of meetings.
02:10On the special days of women.
02:13On the serious allegations of using relationships.
02:18For the first time in the history of politics,
02:20the private life of a country's elected prime minister has been dragged into court.
02:26And seven years of punishment has been given.
02:28Today, once again, the District and Session Courts of Islamabad,
02:31in the case of Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi,
02:33have rejected the request for the death penalty.
02:37The central appeals of the case are still pending.
02:40Additional District Session Judge Afzal Mujooka
02:43has issued a detailed decision on 10 pages.
02:46In the detailed decision, it has been said that both appeals for the death penalty are rejected.
02:50According to the written decision,
02:52both the accused do not have any reason for the death penalty.
02:55Bushra Bibi's being a woman is not a reason for the death penalty and release on bail.
02:59Therefore, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi's request for the death penalty is rejected.
03:03The accused can not claim bail under section 426 of the Criminal Code.
03:08In the detailed decision, it has been said that
03:10even a woman can not claim bail under the law.
03:14In the decision, it has been said that
03:16the request for the death penalty or release on bail cannot be discussed during the hearings.
03:22The punishment given to both the accused is neither short-lived
03:26nor have they suffered more than the punishment.
03:29In the decision of the court,
03:30the case of Mohammad Riaz Banam Sarkar in the Pakistan Criminal Law Journal has also been referred.
03:36In the decision of the case of Mohammad Riaz Banam Sarkar,
03:38it has been said that the bail is the right of the accused under trial, not of the defendant.
03:42Whereas, Tehreek-e-Insaaf has decided to challenge the Iddat Nikah case in the High Court.
03:48This case is between husband and wife.
03:51It has been criticized and the punishment has not been delayed today.
03:56God willing, we will challenge this case in the High Court.
04:06On 25 November 2023, six years after the Nikah,
04:09the former husband of Bushra Bibi, Khawar Maneka, filed a complaint.
04:12On 3 February 2024, Senior Civil Judge Kudratullah had given a verdict against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
04:18Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 7 years in prison.
04:21In the verdict given by Senior Civil Judge Kudratullah of Islamabad,
04:25it was written that the evidence proves that the accused, Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra,
04:30had been in contact with each other before the Nikah.
04:36In the court verdict, it was further written that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi
04:40are being sentenced under section 496 of the Pakistan Criminal Code.
04:44According to section 496 of the Pakistan Criminal Code,
04:46if a person marries with ill-intentions or knowing that he is not legally married,
04:53he can be sentenced to 7 years in prison.
04:57It is surprising that in the case of Iddat Nikah,
04:59so much filth was thrown in the hands of the court
05:02that the United Jamaat of the government itself compared this case to a gutter.
05:06Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that this case of Iddat Nikah is like a gutter.
05:10We should not do so much in politics that we make such cases.
05:13Former Prime Minister Imran Khan is currently imprisoned in Sadiala Jail
05:16due to the punishment he received in the case of Iddat Nikah.
05:19Imran Khan has already been acquitted in Toshakhana and Saifar cases.
05:22The £190 million case of Lahore Rawalpindi in Faisalabad
05:25is also on bail in the cases of 9th May.
05:27There have been many important turns in the case of Iddat Nikah.
05:30The additional session judge of Islamabad, Shahrukh Arjuman,
05:33had secured the verdict after hearing the appeals of the accused against the punishments,
05:37which was to be heard on 29th May, the day of the verdict.
05:40However, the accused, Khawar Maneka, once again expressed disbelief
05:44towards the judge, Shahrukh Arjuman, who had heard these appeals.
05:47The court wrote a letter to Islamabad High Court,
05:49in which the complaint of Khawar Maneka was mentioned.
05:54The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court was asked to send this case to another court,
05:58which was accepted.
06:00Even during the hearing of these appeals,
06:02Khawar Maneka, while disobeying the judge,
06:04had asked him to leave the hearing of these appeals.
06:07The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court, Additional Session Judge,
06:11Muhammad Afzal Mujooka, had been asked by Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi
06:14to hear the appeals against the punishments.
06:17However, Imran Khan's lawyer, despite completing the arguments on these appeals,
06:21challenged the court not to hear the verdict.
06:24The Additional Session Judge, Shahrukh Arjuman,
06:26was asked to hear the secured verdict.
06:29A bench of Islamabad High Court,
06:31rejected the request of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi's lawyer.
06:35However, the Additional Session Judge, Muhammad Afzal Mujooka,
06:38was asked to hear the verdict on the appeals
06:41against the punishments in this case, within 10 days.
06:44And then, in one month,
06:46he was asked to hear the verdict on the appeals
06:48against the Nikah case.
06:51Viewers, the Nikah case,
06:53has been brought to the local court of Islamabad before this.
06:56And there was another request in this case,
06:58which had several hearings on it.
07:00However, this request had taken back its request.
07:03It is interesting that Khawar Manekar,
07:05made the same witnesses,
07:07who were in the original petition of the one who made the first request.
07:15Among these witnesses, Mufti Saeed,
07:17who led the Nikah of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
07:20Apart from him, Imran Khan's former Chief of Staff,
07:22Aoun Chaudhry was also present.
07:24One of the worst aspects of the history of politics is that,
07:26where there were many cases of terrorism,
07:28illiteracy and rebellion on the opponents,
07:30on the other hand,
07:32we have crossed all the limits of personality.
07:35There was no character,
07:37no respect for women,
07:39and no sanctity of four walls.
07:41The history of this case,
07:43how it will be remembered when the verdict comes,
07:45this cannot be said with certainty.
07:47But, politics will have to be ashamed.
