00:00What I'm hearing is there can't be buzzards, they don't want to vote for any of them.
00:06A lot of the people within this area have now voted for independence and the reason for that
00:09is obviously the, what's it called, the comments that were made by some of the, sorry, the Labour
00:16Party members and because of that obviously, you know, I don't feel like it's, you know,
00:22especially as a humanitarian, you know, like perspective, they can't be saying things like
00:27that because at the end of the day, like saying you should cut off their water and their food,
00:31that's something that's an absolute no-go, especially when you're in power, you know,
00:35over the country and things like that. Obviously my family, I'll tell you straight up, we've,
00:40we used to vote for Labour a lot of the times, however now we're all going for independent
00:43because I feel like they have more of a say, more of a, you know, instead of just a Labour Party.
00:47It's back to what it's always been, hasn't it? You don't work, you don't, you know, you get
00:52everything. You work and you get nothing, so you're penalised for it. You know, they're wasting
00:59money, giving it here, there and everywhere to wrong causes and really they should be focusing
01:04on us, our, you know, this country. So yeah, I don't think I've ever had any faith in sort of
01:10Conservatives and Labour, I think the way they've handled the causes thing has been a big thing for
01:16me. It's been a big, big thing and it's a shame really, I think, just because if you look back
01:20in history and suffragettes, they suffered to get the vote and it's just such a shame because
01:27just people, what I'm hearing is they can't be bothered, they don't want to vote for any of them.
01:31Well, we've been voting Labour around about 30 years, you know, and with the support of Jack
01:40Straw and then after, you know, so many camps after him, but we still support Labour. But now,
01:48you know, in the background, especially our Asian community, we have changed our view that,
01:54you know, we're going to not support Labour because, you know, their policy is not in our favour.
02:03Just explain a bit about why you've lost faith in Labour after all those years.
02:07Well, as you know, into what we're calling Palestine, what happened in Palestine,
02:16they didn't do anything about the freedom of the Palestine. That is the main issue.
02:22And in the local, you know, they're not doing any, you know, kind of job here. They're just
02:28coming every, you know, onto the election occasion. Otherwise, they don't come in the area.
02:35On the topic of the Palestine, what is going on in Palestine, the opposition as well as
02:40on the government, both parties are supporting the, you know, Israeli government. No one is
02:45talking about the Palestine. If you have any issue with any individual groups, it does not mean you
02:50are going to kill everybody in Palestine. If you have issue with any individual group, it's better
02:54to deal with them. What's wrong with these children, 80-year-old, 60-year-old? They are
02:59kids. They don't have to do anything with any political party or any individual groups. Why
03:03are you killing them? So these are the basic things. We would prefer not to support any of
03:08the parties, either the Independent or Labour Party. Both are the same.
