00:19the Philippine Women's Foil Fencer Samantha Kyle Katantan brought honor and glory.

00:26She was the first Filipino fencer to play in the Summer Games

00:31and the one to overcome the 32-year-doubt in the Olympic fencing.

00:36In 1992, she was the last to flag our pride in the combat sport

00:41in the body of the Men's Foil Fencer and now one of the commissioners of the Philippine Sports Commission,

00:47Walter Wawit Torres.

00:49In an interview with Torres Kamakailan,

00:52he said that he is confident that Katantan will perform well in the Olympics.

00:59As I mentioned in many, many interviews,

01:01she's not just there to participate.

01:04I can see the potential that she will perform during these games.

01:08The whole Philippine fencing community is rooting for her.
