00:00by training. That's a profession where I have to take a very serious and solemn oath to not
00:04mislead the court. I'm a public servant, I've got to help judges when I'm in front of them
00:10and that means even if my client wants me to say something that's not true, I can't do that.
00:15And this is the first time I've ever run for political office but I want to take those morals,
00:19those values into serving as your Member of Parliament. I don't think anything I put in
00:25terms of things that I would like to deliver as your Labour MP on any of my leaflets,
00:29I think those are all things that can be achieved. I haven't patronised any of you
00:33during this campaign and said that you can't vote for certain parties because they've got
00:39no chances of winning. That's just not right to me. I think you need to let everybody make
00:44their choice about who they think is the best representative, who they think will fight for
00:47this community most effectively. And at the end of the day we do have a voting system,
00:52it does sometimes look, if you go to some websites, like you might want to vote for one party,
00:57if you particularly want to get a certain government out of office. But I'd say to you
01:02that you can't trust everything in those websites, it's much more nuanced. I've engaged directly with
01:07people doing this campaign online to try and explain why it's not completely straightforward
01:12and so my pledge to you would be that if I am elected, I will act with absolute integrity
01:17and be absolutely honest. I'm not going to have a second home
01:20and I'd be delighted if you voted Alex Just on the 4th of July.
