00:00Hey, Essence family, it's your favorite entertainment editor here, Shelby Stewart, and I'm here
00:08with the lovely, the timeless, and perhaps the greatest R&B girl group of all time, SWE.
00:14That's so sweet, thank you.
00:18So you ladies have performed at Essence Festival a few times, and as we prepare to celebrate
00:23our 30th anniversary, when you all think back to one of your earliest performances at festival,
00:29what do you guys remember?
00:30Being so nervous.
00:31Oh yeah.
00:32Thinking no one was going to show up to our room.
00:35And it was packed.
00:36Yes.
00:37I think it's just us doing it for the first time, because we've always wanted to perform
00:43at Essence.
00:44So when we finally got an opportunity to, it was major.
00:48We felt like we were on the main stage the first time.
00:59Absolutely.
01:00If all three of you individually could rank your favorite songs to sing within your discography,
01:12what would they be?
01:13Oh, I have so many, but honestly, my favorite song has been The Best Years.
01:21We did that song on our, was it the first album that we did?
01:25I Missed Us?
01:27Whichever album it was on, it was on one of the last two.
01:30I think it was the I Missed Us album.
01:32So I love anything, and I love now that we do this song, It's About Time.
01:39Yeah, I like This Is Coco, I like We, and I do like, I have three.
01:44Fine Time and You Are My Love is one of my favorites.
01:48What do you guys look forward to most when it comes to Essence Festival?
