00:00So I'm Olivia.
00:01I'm Cameron.
00:02We're Majesty Fam.
00:03So we're playing Transmet, it's in Glasgow Green.
00:07This is our first year playing it, so we're very excited.
00:10So yeah, buzzing.
00:11Buzzing for it.
00:12I think we were just like, kind of shocked to be honest.
00:15We got the email through and we were like, my god.
00:18It's like, totally buzzing.
00:19I think I phoned you straight away.
00:20Yeah.
00:21To like, yeah, I don't know, going mad about it.
00:23Yeah.
00:24Just mental to think, so.
00:26I think it's just obviously like a festival that everyone knows as well,
00:29so like, even maybe people that aren't into music, like,
00:33people in my family and stuff can recognise that it's a big festival.
00:37So, yeah.
00:39Buzzing.
00:40Excited for it.
00:41We're just, yeah, buzzing.
00:42Kind of started, like, I'd done music before,
00:45but I could never sing over it, so I'd always look for someone else.
00:49And then I think I kind of knew Olivia through mutual friends.
00:53Literally, like, Instagram DM'd her.
00:55And then, yeah, we'd done one song, I think.
00:58And then, just kind of, grams and legs.
01:00And then, yeah, we just kind of are where we are.
01:03I think the music in itself is quite, like, nostalgic, kind of 80s influenced.
01:08And, yeah, like, kind of funky as well.
01:11So, we just kind of mash it all together and hopefully it sounds good, I think.
01:15It usually always kind of starts with Cameron,
01:17because Cameron does all the production stuff.
01:20And he'll, like, produce, like, maybe, like, a verse and a chorus or something.
01:25And then he'll send me it.
01:27And then, like, we start to put, like, lyrics and, like, vocal melodies down and stuff.
01:32I think we share quite a lot of the same influences.
01:35Like, we're saying about, like, the 80s, like, thing.
01:39We're, like, both obsessed with, like, 80s music.
01:43Like, Simple Minds of Blue Nile and all that.
01:45And, yeah, I think we've just kind of used that.
01:49And then also our love for, like, current pop music.
01:52And just kind of mashed them both together.
01:55Yeah.
01:56And, yeah, that's kind of the process.
01:58We just kind of, like, we always just do things, like, together, I guess.
02:03Yeah, that's it.
02:04And just try to take different influences and different songs.
02:06And, yeah, try and make the next one different.
02:09But still sound like us.
02:10Yeah.
02:11None of my family are really, like, musical.
02:13Apart from my uncle who plays guitar.
02:15But music was always, like, around my house and things.
02:17And then, yeah, I don't know.
02:18I went to school of rock.
02:19And then dad's literally got my first guitar.
02:22And, yeah, not looking back.
02:24I always had, like, parents who didn't really, like, push me to, like,
02:29pursue, like, I don't know, like a more solid career or something.
02:33I don't know.
02:34But, like, I always sang and, like, loved music.
02:37And my mum and dad both, like, obviously loved music when I was growing up.
02:41I just knew that that's what I wanted to do.
02:43And I just thought, may as well give it a bash, I guess.
02:46And, so, yeah, fingers crossed it works out.
