Are chains killing independent pubs?
We ask the people of Cardiff about whether they think chain pubs are getting in the way of independents, or whether they can all exist together.

00:26use Weatherspoons as an example, I don't particularly use them because I fundamentally
00:33disagree with the political stance of the owner. That said, certainly where I live in Penarth,
00:38it provides a community hub and also reasonably priced drinks in pubs. I think the problem is
00:46pints are so expensive and I don't think many people have a positive opinion on chain pubs.
00:54I don't think they're standing in the way. I think there's other barriers stopping independent pubs.
