00:00So here is my easy to grow top 10 seeds for summer.
00:14At number 10 we have Sweet Alisum followed at number 9 by Lobelia which I have yet to
00:20open here.
00:22Then at number 8 we have French Marigolds and at 7 Iceland Poppies, at 6 we have California
00:31Poppies, then at 5 we have Schizanthus, Angel Wings, at number 4 we have Cornflowers, then
00:42at 3 we have Nasturtiums, and at 2 we have Pansies.
00:50My number 1 recommendation would be Calendula or Pot Marigold.
00:55And I'll leave you now with some images from the garden and a progress update for late
01:32This was 3 plants in one, some white ones, some purple, a Lyric Canicot, more Calendula,
01:42more Pansies, some Petunias growing from seeds starting to get ready to open here, a light
01:52blue Lyric Canicot, more California Poppies, more Calendula, Icelandic Poppies, and up
02:04here we have our first, now this is a double headed, there seems to be 2 Petunias in one,
02:11I don't know what happened to this one, but the rest of them are all just singles, so
02:16a very baby blue colour here, and amongst them some different coloured Pansies, all
02:25grown from seeds, some Elysium down here, some Trailing Lavellia, it hasn't opened yet,
02:30and that is everything, another Calendula up there, some Nasturtiums, this is a variety
02:41of Baby Spirits that have started to open, and that is everything that's coming on so far.
02:55So here as you can see now in the flowerbed, it's some of the first flowers blooming,
03:03and a lot of Marigolds starting to open, or Calendula, Pot Marigold,
03:10and a week on, the Poppies still haven't opened, but should be any day now, you can see the
03:18droopy heads there, and here are the California Poppies, lovely golden Four Leaf Poppy, and
03:30edible, just like the Calendula, you can throw them in a salad, they brighten it up, used
03:37in medicine as well, and they are already proving popular with the bees, and then on
03:43up here we have the first Nasturtiums starting to appear in the back, more Orange Flowers,
03:53and I just noticed this morning, the first of the Cornflowers coming up, and it's a lovely
04:01blue colour, Cornflower Blue gets it's name from these, so that's all that's blooming in the back
04:11so far, apart from a few Lilies, and some Alicium, I know all those are growing from seed this year,
04:252024, so looking forward to seeing how it develops, now I'm happy enough with
04:31the way the plants are starting to cover up the ground, and compete for space, so that
04:38should give them a boost as well in their height, and just up here, these are a load of Godisha here,
04:46about the masses of buds on them, so should add a bit of pink, red and white colouring on
04:55to the mix,
04:58hopefully within a few weeks I'll have a lot more colour out the back.
