00:00Alright guys, welcome back to the channel and the latest round-up of wrestling game
00:07news where today we have the first DLC previews of the upcoming Post Malone and
00:11Friends pack, including a brand new trailer, we have deals on some new retro
00:16content that's being added in the next patch update, and we also have a small
00:19update on the development of WWE 2K25. Before we get into any of that though, if
00:25you're new to the channel and you want to stay up to date with all the latest
00:28wrestling game news, then please do hit that subscribe button and turn on your
00:31notifications so you don't miss out on future updates. So let's begin with WWE
00:372K24. As ahead of the release of the Post Malone and Friends DLC pack that's
00:42set to release on Wednesday June 26th, the WWE Games account have begun sharing
00:47some new previews, with the first of these seeing the reveal of the pack's
00:50headliner, Post Malone. Post was shown off in the form of some new screenshots
00:55that revealed his model in a pair of green shorts before the WWE Games
00:59account went on to post his full entrance. Taking a look at the footage, it
01:03was confirmed that post will feature an exclusive entrance theme, which is gun
01:06under the gun by Military Gun, and given that this has been referred to as an
01:10exclusive theme, it's possible it may be restricted to post, similar to how
01:14Kingdom was exclusive to Cody in 2K23 and couldn't be assigned to anyone else.
01:19Scrubbing through the footage, Post's attires see him in a pair of green
01:23shorts with taped wrists and a towel, while his motion features a new entrance
01:28that sees him spring up onto the top rope and then gesture the two sweet
01:32before performing a backflip into the ring. As for his moves, we did get a quick
01:36preview of what we can expect, as the WWE Games account shared a gameplay clip
01:41that shows him performing a spinning crucifix powerbomb. Switching over to the
01:47second reveal, the WWE Games account also revealed the full entrance video for
01:52The Honky Tonk Man, where it was revealed that he features a special manager
01:55entrance when paired up with fellow DLC character Jimmy Hart, who's included in
01:59the pack as a new manager. Whilst hard to make out due to the level of the music,
02:04the entrance features voiceover for Jimmy Hart, as you can hear him using his
02:07signature megaphone on the way to the ring.
02:14Other takeaways from the entrance include the addition of a new guitar
02:18skin, and given the addition of the guitar as one of the new weapons this
02:21year, then it's expected that we will be able to use this version during breakouts, as
02:25well as potentially pulling it from under the ring as a signature weapon.
02:29Speaking of weapons, a trailer for the DLC was also shown during Smackdown, and
02:34that confirmed one additional weapon, as the footage shown revealed Jimmy Hart's
02:38megaphone can actually be used as a weapon, as the footage showed The Honky
02:41Tonk Man using it to strike a downed opponent. Alongside the entrance footage,
02:45we also got the reveal of Honky Tonk Man's overall rating, where it was revealed that
02:50he's rated 81 in the base game, however he also comes with a Ruby card for My
02:54Faction, which sees him rated one point higher at 82. As for Jimmy Hart, he also
02:59comes with a manager card for My Faction, as the DLC includes an Amethyst
03:03manager card. Moving on, and the next character to be revealed was Sensational
03:09Sherry, as the WWE Games account revealed Sherry Martel's rating as 80, while Sherry
03:15also comes with a Ruby card in My Faction, which is rated 81. While the
03:20reveal didn't include Sherry's entrance or any screenshots, she was shown off
03:24during the DLC trailer on Smackdown, where she was briefly shown against Zoe
03:28Stark. The footage from the trailer confirmed that Sherry's attire is taken
03:32from a 1988 episode of WWE Primetime Wrestling, where she appeared as the
03:37WWE Women's Champion. This attire is also the same one that was shown on her My
03:42Faction card, where you can just about make out the classic version of the
03:46Women's Championship. The last of the characters featured in the pack is
03:51Attitude Era tag team The Headbangers, which are Mosh and Thrasher, whose overall
03:55ratings seen them both rated a lowly 76. Like Sherry, the WWE Games account didn't
04:01release any screenshots or video of the pair, however they too were shown off in
04:05the Smackdown trailer, where it's confirmed that they feature their signature skirts
04:09and the Headbangers top with the slogan Real Men Wear Skirts. So that's all the
04:15DLC previews, however staying with the Smackdown trailer, we did get some
04:19teasers for upcoming content that's being added to the game in the next
04:23patch update. This teaser came at the end of the trailer, where it was revealed that
04:27we're getting two new Persona cards, which are being added via My Faction, as
04:31the next update includes a special Demastered card pack, which contains N64
04:37era versions of Asuka and Bianca Belay, which are modeled as if they were made
04:41for a game like No Mercy. While the trailer footage confirmed Asuka and Bianca,
04:46it's also been reported that we'll see similar models for Roman Reigns and
04:50Xavier Woods, with Woods himself set to show off the characters as part of a
04:54special livestream this coming Monday on UpUpDownDown. So this is a really cool
04:59addition, especially for players that grew up playing the original Nintendo
05:02games, as it's a nice nostalgia trip, and that's the kind of content that I think
05:06is perfect for My Faction, as it's not locking away any current models that
05:10should be in the base game, it's more optional content for those it appeals to.
05:14Staying with new content that's coming to the game, it's also possible we could
05:19see a retro version of Randy Orton, as browsing the oddities cards in My Faction
05:24reveals a new set for Orton, though the reward isn't currently listed as a
05:28Persona card, but that could change once the cards go live. So that's all the
05:33updates on WWE 2K24, and with next week's patch update and the DLC release, we're
05:39looking ahead to the future, and WWE 2K25, we do have a small update that I want to
05:45include. This update comes via Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, as last week seen him
05:50interview TNA's Jordan Grace, who's someone that we've seen pop up recently
05:54on NXT, as well as making a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble. In this
05:59interview, Jordan noted that she's currently working with 2K, as she's
06:03performing motion capture for 2K25. When asked what the work she was doing
06:08involved, Jordan revealed that she was doing more cap for My Rise, where she was
06:12playing the part of Jaycee Jayne and Chelsea Green.
06:16Right now I'm outside of San Francisco, because I'm doing motion capture Monday, Tuesday,
06:23Wednesday, Thursday, for the My Rise video game. I'm doing it this week. Today I
06:30played Jaycee Jayne and Chelsea Green. I was such a good Chelsea Green, you should have seen me.
06:38They made me laugh like Chelsea, and I was incredible at it. I was like, oh my god.
06:46Following the reveal that Jordan was performing more cap, a lot of eyes were
06:50raised at the possibility of her appearing as a playable character, given
06:54her recent appearances in WWE. And while that is a possibility, this isn't the
06:58first time that she's worked with 2K, as Jordan also did more cap for 2K23, where
07:04she revealed she did the more cap for Ivy Nile, and is listed as one of several
07:07performers in the game's credits. As for the possibility of Jordan appearing in
07:112K25, I wouldn't rule it out given the recent partnership with TNA, as there's
07:16always the possibility that we could see the partnership expanded into video
07:20games, though unless there's a big TNA invasion planned, I don't expect to see a
07:24TNA pack, though there is the possibility that we could see TNA versions of
07:28current stars like AJ Styles, as this is something that 2K could offer through
07:32MyFraction, and allow players to unlock them as persona cards. As for now though,
07:37all we can do is wait and see how this partnership develops, and if it does
07:40indeed cross the line into video games. So that's the latest roundup of wrestling
07:47game news, but stay tuned to the channel next week, as I'll have full details on
07:50the new patch update on Tuesday, as well as coverage of the DLC from Wednesday.
07:55Until then though, thank you so much for watching this video, have yourself an
07:59awesome day, and I'll catch you later.
