00:27The group's members carry forward and revitalize the friendship between their American predecessors

00:37Her husband was born there, and her father-in-law lived there for many years after coming to
00:42the city in the 1940s.
00:57The couple had spent years searching for the family's former summer villa, and finally
01:02located it last year.

01:17Gail Harris is another member of Kuliang Friends.
01:20Her grandfather, H.R. Caldwell, once lived in the castle villa.
01:25Everything here remains well-preserved.
01:28Harris and her parents were all born in China.
01:31She enjoyed summertime in Guling every year before she was seven years old.
01:37At the site of the former tennis court, Harris shared a photo of her family playing the game.
01:42Him winning the tennis match and congratulating his opponent.
01:48So my mother was very proud of him.
01:52The Kuliang Friends were drawn back to China once and again by their deep affection for
01:57this land.
01:59McInnes told us that her grandson has been born, and in the future she wants to tell
02:04him her stories from China's Guling.
