00:00Sun's out and the spores are out. Yes, a pollen bomb is hitting the UK this week as temperatures
00:06soar here in Yorkshire up to 26 degrees Celsius. Hay fever sufferers will sadly feel the impact
00:14until Wednesday. It's a good idea if you're out in the sun and the pollen count is high
00:19to wear a wide-brimmed hat or even some goggles or sunglasses. You can also put some petroleum
00:25jelly just under your nose which captures the pollen. Be sure you're often showering and
00:31changing your clothes to get any pollen from the outside off if you have been outside. Keep your
00:37windows and doors shut as much as possible so the pollen can't get into your home and if you
00:43are out driving you can get some special filters for the car. If you vacuum regularly as well as
00:49wipe everything indoors that will also help reduce the pollen count inside.
