00:19That's what Skate Philippines celebrated last Friday in Rizal Park, Manila City,
00:23where 80 skaters from different parts of the country came together
00:28and joined the Longboard Push Race Freestyle Skater Let's Men's and Women's category.
00:33According to Skate Philippines President Carl Sandrano,
00:36these skates events are important for the skaters to have a platform to do their best.
00:42We are surprised because Go Skateboarding Day is being celebrated not only in the Philippines,
00:47but around the world.
00:48We want skateboarding to have a wider reach,
00:52more people will know about it, not just in skateparks.
00:55So even those who are passing by, those who are watching, those who are walking,
00:58they will see that skateboarding is like that.
01:01On Go Skateboarding Day, the two national athletes
01:05just came back from the country after winning the first and second places
01:09in the National Skate Championships 2024 held in Malaysia.
01:14Here, Mack Feliciano and Motik Panugalino showed their skills
01:18where they scored 27.45 and 26.76.
01:24I'm so proud of myself and proud of everyone who supports me.
01:30I feel proud of the Philippines.
01:34On Go Skateboarding Day, the skaterolette was held on the stairs.
