EkoSetiawangsa would be an initiative for the Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry to transform Setiawangsa into an 'urban eco-district' where residents adopt sustainable lifestyles.

During the launch of Karnival Alam Kita on Saturday (June 23), Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, who is also the Setiawangsa MP, expressed his hope that by embracing sustainable practices, Setiawangsa will become a carbon-neutral, green, and inclusive area, providing benefits for all its citizens.

00:19This includes green energy, low-carbon mobility, environmental management, and the Lestari community.
00:26By preserving the Lestari lifestyle, we hope to make Setiawangsa one of the pioneers
00:33to become a neutral carbon, green, and inclusive area.
00:38This benefit can be enjoyed by all the people of Setiawangsa.

00:49including the BKL, Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation, MGTC,
00:54Urban East Malaysia, Yayasan Hijau Malaysia, and the Setiawangsa Parliamentary Office.
01:01We appreciate the efforts of the BKL, including the selection of advanced species.
