00:00He felt like a guy who was performing way better. Like in the preseason, no one expected
00:10him to be as good as he was. Like everyone, everyone thought like Cody Senga coming over
00:16was going to be better than Shota. And then Shota ended up being so much better. But isn't
00:22it funny how like, like you guys were talking about baseball, like the players are so good,
00:28they adjust and eventually they figured him out. I, you know, going forward, like you
00:35said, he'll have to adjust back and then it'll be just like a back and forth between the
00:40hitters and him. I, I think he can be fine though. I mean, I don't, you know, I, I hope
00:46people weren't expecting him to be a, you know, a 1.75 ERA pitcher. I, I think he could
00:51be good though. I'm, I'm surprised as a command is a little bit lower than I would have expected
00:57because when he was in Asia, I think his a walk per nine was about one over where it
01:02is now. So I think what was happening was hitters weren't as familiar with like some
01:08of his pitches. So they were swinging out a lot of pitches outside the zone and you're
01:12never going to make really good contact or any contact when you're swinging at balls
01:17out of the zone. So the fact that now hitters maybe will become a little bit more patient
01:22with his pitches and the way for, you know, the weight on him and he's going to have to
01:27challenge them. And now it'll be a matter of whether or not he can challenge them and
01:31actually get them out. I think he can be fine though. I'm not, I'm not totally concerned.
01:36I just don't think he was ever as good as he was showing us in April through at the
01:42beginning of June.
