00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the send-off ceremony
00:04for the Philippine National Team that competed in the Paralympic and Paralympic Games
00:10in July and August.

00:17As a tribute to our country that will compete in the 2024 Paralympic and Paralympic Games,
00:26a send-off ceremony was held last Friday night in Ayuntamiento de Manila in Intramuros.
00:32President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the ceremony
00:37with the top sports officials of the country,
00:41Tri-City Mayor and Philippine Olympic Committee President Abraham Bambol Tolentino
00:47and Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Richard Bachman.
00:50On his behalf, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. gave the 100th Anniversary of the Philippine National Team
00:56that started in 1924.
00:59We gather here today to perpetuate the legacy of that determination and excellence
01:05that Philippine athletes have bravely demonstrated all throughout the years.
01:10More than a send-off, this is an opportune time to get inspiration
01:15from the countless athletes who have carried our flag with pride throughout the years.
01:20Marcos also dedicated his continued support to the sports development of the country.
01:26We have granted 52 million pesos for the preparation, training,
01:30and participation of Filipino athletes in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
01:36For this year alone, over 1.1 billion pesos in sports through the PSC
01:43has funded the aspirations and future of Filipino athletes.
01:47We continue to rehabilitate our major sports facilities,
01:51such as the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, the Field Sports Complex,
01:55to give our youth a fitting stage to improve and to showcase their talents.

02:03Mets France will now head to our country for their one-month training camp given by the TOC.
