00:00as the players here start to emerge from the dressing rooms a very good atmosphere as i
00:05mentioned at the stand velodrome steve mondonda somebody who takes such a pride in playing for
00:12marseille in his second spell with the club he's had that very brief spell with crystal palace but
00:20very much a marseille man he will feel the pressure perhaps more than most tonight the
00:25marseille supporters like those are fine or desperate to see their side in a major european
00:31final again he's an interesting one clive allen the final goalkeeper marciano the former hips
00:37player because he made a really big save at the end of the first leg but the rest of the night
00:43found a little bit difficult didn't he yeah i thought he was found wanting for the first two
00:48goals certainly disappointing position wise for dm's opener i thought he could have parried away
00:54into a better position that jerson followed up to equalize the game to all but a wonderful tip
01:02save over the crossbar that looked to be dipping in from play it so i think he made amends and his
01:08team hold that advantage it's going to be a big night for him he needs to perform well
01:12the final they're going to progress with so many live games on bt sport tonight with the bt sport
01:18app you can easily jump between live matches plus goal alerts means you can catch all the drama as
01:23it unfolds on nights like these for this and so much more download the app to your mobile or tablet
01:32these two former european champions competing for a place in the inaugural europa conference league
01:38final marseille hope for their first european trophy since 1993 finals most recent was in 2002
01:48the winner will play lester or roma in this month's final there's the velodrome welcomes
01:55the players a show of strength here from the marseille ultras who've been inside the stadium
02:02for a long time before kickoff building the atmosphere dimitri payet likely to be a pivotal
02:12figure tonight for marseille as he so often is there are plenty of potential match winners
02:19out there it is a night that will mean so much to both of these clubs
02:25which one of them though will go through to this month's final
02:42so
02:52so
03:07how good does that look
03:10the stadiums don't come much more noisy vibrant and passionate than the velodrome
03:16Jorge Sampaoli's lineups notoriously difficult to predict tonight no difference six changes to
03:22the 11 that began sunday's 3-0 loss to Lyon another game that he made six changes for
03:28Duya Chalet-Atsar whose mistake led to finals third last week his drop to the bench with
03:33Boubacar Kamara expected to drop into the back four alongside Arsenal loanee William Saliba
03:39Sandro Scherer is our referee tonight comes from Switzerland only 33 years old
03:49has been a Swiss Super League referee since 2013 so just under a decade
03:54has been FIFA listed since 2015 he was the fourth official in Manchester City's 4-3 win
04:00over Real Madrid in that semi-final first leg the Feyenoord coach Arne Slott has named the same 11
04:08that began both the first leg and their league win over Fortuna Sittard at the weekend
04:12a big plus on the bench is the presence of team captain Jens Tornstra who's not played
04:17since the 14th of April because of an ankle injury two of the front three Dezis and Sinisterra
04:22have a combined tally of 16 goals and six six assists in the competition proper
04:28so much of the pre-match focus on that man Dimitri Payet
04:41scored that incredible goal against PAOK in Greece in the previous rounds
04:47Steve Mondanda wears the armbands
04:55Marseille Senezi is the Feyenoord skipper
05:03can they rule their side on to victory here
05:08the atmosphere is so good at Dekalb a week ago will now be a minute silence on what is the 30th
05:14anniversary of the Furiani disaster when 18 supporters sadly died
05:19at a game between Bastia and Marseille in 1992
05:44so here we go then it is a special atmosphere the velodrome raucous and resplendent
06:00this matters so much to these two clubs one more step to Tirana and as the smoke clears
06:07at the velodrome Clive Allen you can be pretty sure there's an exciting night ahead absolutely
06:13always unpredictable Marseille you can never call the way they're going to play the team that
06:17Tampaoli will select from the start it's going to be a fascinating encounter the way that Feyenoord
06:24started in that first leg turned Marseille's defense around time and time again in the early stages
06:30and that certainly they capitalized on I expect them to start fast here Marseille
06:37poor form in the last couple of weeks which for their second position in Ligue 1 has been
06:42disappointing at this stage of the season but what a week it's already been in European
06:48competition so much drama and hope for a bit more tonight at the velodrome
07:01early involvement for Gerson was found Aretz who came off the bench in the
07:05first leg here's Dimitri Payet Aretz wanted it back again
07:09well to work it wide Gendouzi is one of those waiting in the middle
07:22Luan Perez
07:25Gerson
07:28Pat Gay to Luan Perez again
07:34Mondanda goes long this time
07:39well a quicker start from that on the first leg from Marseille
07:42early possession feeding the ball into Dimitri Payet just couldn't get the ball
07:47from the wide position in behind that Feyenoord defense
07:52Sampaoli as he does prowling that technical area right from the start
07:58Des is just out muscled there by Camara the referee has now given a free kick
08:05to Feyenoord he says Sampaoli that the reason he walks up and down all the time in his technical
08:10area is that it helps him think better when he's on the move well he's had to think certainly long
08:15and hard after that first leg performance and Camara playing alongside Saliba I think is a
08:21a change that was needed he was certainly poor at the back made mistakes which Feyenoord capitalized
08:27on well the man who made the mistake for the third Feyenoord goal Chalet Atzar 10 seconds
08:33into the second half dropped to the bench tonight that one of the big talking points in Marseille
08:38ahead of the game in terms of the team news that Chalet Atzar effectively dropped tonight
08:42yeah and you can understand why I think uh you know they've they've they've been inconsistent
08:47at the back they've lost five league games here at home in Ligue 1 this season for a team
08:53who are in second position trying to consolidate a Champions League group stage uh win at the end
09:00of the season have not been as convincing as they should have been here in their own stadium
09:07yeah it is a point worth emphasizing that the difference between Marseille's home and away form
09:12in Ligue 1 they've taken seven points more away than they have at home they've only won eight of
09:17their 18 home games in Ligue 1 this season which will have encouraged Feyenoord you would have
09:22thought ahead of this absolutely and a final side who are in good form themselves won their last
09:27five games one obviously the first leg away three by scoring three at the weekend and come here full
09:35of confidence I'm sure to protect that goal lead put out by Luan Perez whose battle with Nelson
09:41on the Marseille left could be a very important one tonight he made one and scored one at the
09:46weekend in the 3-1 win over Fortuna Sittard Reece Nelson he's having a strong end to the season
09:52yeah it's really prominent in that first leg down the right hand side for Feyenoord
09:56here Trout has fallen
10:01and Nelson's there again Marseille get it clear
10:07Feyenoord quickly have it back again though Kirkchurch
10:11Sinisterra has been excellent in this competition this season the Colombian international Sinisterra
10:22the flares look great but they don't help out commentators Clive I've got to say
10:26yeah no it's not it's certainly not fog is it isn't bad weather it is those flares that
10:32quite amazing that they actually can get them into the stadium
10:36it makes for the atmosphere but certainly difficult for vision let's hope they clear
10:44Auschwitz here Trout
10:46Sanasi had been a fitness down for the first leg it was a bit of a surprise when he was named in
10:55the starting lineup and in the team again tonight what are the difference between the two coaches
11:00in terms of their rotation policies Clive because we saw Sampalli make six changes at the weekend
11:06from the first leg of this tie he's made six changes again in terms of Feyenoords they picked
11:11the same people it's the same team from the first leg and the same team that started at the weekend
11:16he's Aret Adam there's no doubt that on a slot he knows his best side is starting 11 when they're
11:23all fit literally he will pick that starting 11 as he has done for the last three games
11:29this is the strongest Feyenoord side in terms of his opinion Sampalli just jungles the pack all
11:35the time asking questions of the players sometimes I just feel that that contributes to their
11:40inconsistency from game to game they never know that they're going to be starting or in what position
11:50Trauner intercepted
11:54came off Kirkciu, Sinisterra, Tills made the run from the midfield this is Nelson
12:02Sinisterra now maybe there's a chance of a counter here Aret
12:07Payet
12:15they did really well there Senezi dive in well unlike the first leg De Gea started on the right
12:22hand side certainly has that pace on that right flank Payet started more central but dropped a
12:27little deeper and Aret on the left hand side again a different formation on that front line for Marseille
12:34one of the players on the bench tonight is Arkadiusz Milik who of course knows Feyenoord well
12:40he's a former Ajax man he's got eight goals in nine games in European competition this season
12:4520 and 35 appearances yet didn't start the first leg and doesn't start tonight either
12:52no it is a natural centre forward who would lead the line Payet will drop into that false nine
12:57position slightly deeper and not the target that Milik would be if he was
13:02leading the line for Marseille
13:10he said the reason that he picked Dieng and Bakambu in that first leg
13:14Sampaoli who's the wanted their pace in behind is Gerson, Aret, Payet to play in Dieng
13:25yeah that's an example of it Payet slightly deeper had it with the pace off the left
13:29feeding by Dieng trying to get off the shoulder of Malicia in that left back position for Feyenoord
13:36well his first European goal Dieng in that first leg took it very well beat the goalkeeper at his
13:42near post with a ferocious shot in the Africa Cup of Nations last year with Senegal
13:52Sadio Mane part of that squad
13:54Dessus took the free kick too quickly for the referees like well certainly Marseille have done
13:59their homework from that first leg Adam because they're pressing they're engaging much quicker
14:04because at times Feyenoord had time and space to deliver balls in behind
14:09that Marseille defence far too easily in that first game
14:13Dessus played back here by camera to Mondanda
14:24Marseille aiming to reach their sixth major European final it would be a fifth in Feyenoord's history
14:33interesting that Feyenoord have won 21 of the 26 previous European ties
14:38in which they've recorded a home victory in the first leg
14:42the record Marseille have won four and lost four of the eight European ties
14:46in which they were defeated away in the first leg
14:53Dessus just leaning into the back of Perez as he's trying to hit the long
14:57diagonal from left to right into the area of Dieng
15:00Arit has made the run centrally it comes wide instead here for Gerson
15:07Gendouzi, Payet, Arit all in the box, Gerson
15:15Sinistere
15:19Dessus have peeled out wide, Tiller got through the middle, Marseille have it back again
15:26Saliba to Dieng
15:31oh that certainly is much better from Marseille again engaging quickly not allowing Sinistere
15:38the opportunity to play the ball forward Saliba coming away with possession
15:44Luan Perez, Arit has stayed wide this time
15:50Gerson back to Arit, nice move, Payet!
15:54really important block that, Senesi it was who got in the way of it first
15:58good chance of the game good into play really well moved from the left hand side
16:02the run of Arit was picked out he then passed in field to Payet struck first time
16:08good block by the final captain there's been a goal an early goal in the other semi-final
16:13in the eternal city Tammy Abraham has given Roma the lead against Leicester
16:18in that second leg live right now on BT Sport 3
16:21Tammy Abraham the second highest scorer in the competition behind Dessus
16:26clever from Arit into Gerson return pass and Payet with a strike
16:31hit first time wonderful block throwing himself in the path of Payet's attempted strike on target
16:41Perez penalized for his challenge into the back of Dessus
16:47so Roma now with a 2-1 advantage in that tie with Leicester there's the foul by Luan Perez
16:53on Dessus looked like he caught his Achilles on his
16:56I think he caught his Achilles but it was his left knee in that
16:59lumbar region that Dessus felt the full force of the challenge
17:04it's a nice story actually about Dessus ahead of this game
17:08it was reported in the Dutch media the other day there was a fan who got in touch with him
17:14on social media a final supporter who said that he'd been and followed them
17:18away from home throughout the tournament and he bought a plane ticket to come to
17:23France but his boss wouldn't let him have the time off work so we asked Dessus via social media
17:28will you have a word with my boss and he did he phoned his boss up and he's in Marseille that
17:33supporter quite brilliant the boss couldn't refuse then could he had to let his his employee
17:39be here this evening
17:44well he certainly felt I think the full force of Perez's left knee in his lumbar region you
17:51can see him holding his side not moving particularly freely as Dessus they would
17:55want to lose him by an odd yeah that is a big worry because he's not moving freely at all there
18:01is he Dessus, Nelson, Sinisterna, Kirkchuck great run down the right hand side here Dessus had come
18:09on back onto the pitch took them by surprise but certainly was moving freely there wasn't
18:13it he came from nowhere and he was flying down the right side I did a double take for a second there
18:24well he's holding his right side again now but certainly the way he came back onto the field and
18:30explosive pace
18:38Payet, Ganduzzi
18:45Dienk, Vaisanese, Payet
18:49Arit, quite rich, Papguet, Rongier, Gerson combining with Arit
18:59Papguet just over the head of Payet gathered in by Marciano
19:06certainly a much better shape to this Marseille side than the one against Lyon at the weekend
19:11where they were quite convincingly beat 3-0 at home here on Sunday evening in the Ligue 1 game
19:18Rongier for me better
19:23would be a pretty slick surface out there it's been raining quite heavily for
19:27a few hours in the lead-up to kick-off Ganduzzi, Dienk, Gueye, Gerson
19:39just seems more authority better organization about Marseille compared to the first half of
19:44that first leg absolutely a much better tempo in the way that they're passing the ball
19:48their intensity in closing down when out of possession is
19:51far better than it was in that first leg certainly in the opening stages
19:58Ganduzzi was asked about the first leg performance in an interview ahead of this and
20:02he said we made a complete mess of the first leg they were his words said especially the
20:08first half it wasn't like us he said on the ball here the French international recently scored his
20:13first senior international goal in that win over South Africa
20:20Rongier
20:23Saliba
20:29they have much more control in the way that they're playing moving the ball
20:33with efficiency but again closing down quickly went out of possession winning it back
20:40exactly what they didn't do certainly in the opening 20 minutes in the first leg
20:53misjudged by Ganduzzi
21:00recently Sampaoli said that he thinks Ganduzzi is becoming one of the best
21:03midfielders in the world said he's a natural leader with a contagious energy
21:08he struggled a bit in the first leg four pass there as Dessus is still struggling with that
21:14lower back area he's so important to them will be desperate for him to stay on Ganduzzi
21:31calmly played out by Mondanda to Gerson
21:34he scored in the first leg attempted dummy by Payet didn't come off as
21:41Ganduzzi looks to win it back but it's turned by Kirkchip
21:51what different routes these two sides have taken to this point Feyenoord have done the hard yards
21:55their first game in the Europa Conference League on the 22nd of July this their 18th
22:01match in the competition it's only Marseille's eighth they entered at the playoff stage after
22:06dropping out of the Europa League what incredible run unbeaten in the competition to this point
22:13it's quite amazing the number of games they played the early start
22:16in the early rounds to find themselves in the semi-final unbeaten
22:20so
22:34Payet
22:42Nelson
22:43Saliba he angered run off sides
22:54Harbaugh he had trailed up on Ami and Harit
23:00yeah challenge from behind Harit knows he's coming you can see
23:03the tutor kicks through the back of him
23:18will Marciano be troubled here produce that wonderful save right at the end
23:23of the first leg to make sure the final brought a lead with them
23:27to Marseille it is Payet who will take this
23:33so
23:39surprised that Payet played it there here's Gendouzi
23:44Payet cross blocked at the expense of a corner it was still in the way finally delivered by
23:51Payet as you say and I'm surprised he didn't deliver from the free kick position but first
23:56corner for Marseille Saliba up Perez up
24:03and again they do have potential aerial threat Marseille
24:09so Payet to swing it in goalkeeper thought about coming then went back
24:14Rongier Nelson tried to dispossess him and they were happy just to get it clear their final
24:28bad news for West Ham of course looking to overturn a first leg deficit in Germany Aaron
24:35Cresswell has been sent off inside the first 20 minutes in Germany so they're right up and
24:41against it now the hammers a goal down in on aggregate and a man down
24:46as well now as he was against Leon in the round before
24:52a big blow that for David Moyes still nil-nil here in this Europa Conference League semi-final
24:59second leg finaled with that narrow first leg advantage as Saliba comes forward here Astor's
25:06camera now they'd love an early-ish goal here Marseille oh absolutely but from this sort of
25:14angle this sort of distance this is where Dimitri Payet flourishes his quality of delivery so good
25:21time and time again can he produce a bit of quality here Payet recently notched his 100th
25:32league and assist he's a good ball in and Pat Gay's there and Gendouzi's there
25:37and it was cleared by here Trauder the pressure maintained though Payet with another ball in
25:44it was Kamara who was just beaten in the air
25:51just a little bit pending for the moment here Feyenoord need a route out
25:55so
26:00Rangers have taken the lead at Ibrox against Leipzig
26:03Tavernier who's been so reliable and scored so many big goals for them
26:08has weighed in with another one there after 18 minutes all square in the tie 1-1 on aggregate
26:18well we said the atmosphere here would be amazing I'm sure it is at Ibrox
26:22with that goal levelling that tie up
26:28I mean Aret, Dieng options to his right Gendouzi's one of them and Payet's there as well
26:36well unusually for him on that wonderful left foot he's missed the target great chance yeah well
26:42well played by Marseille to build up Dieng to Gendouzi when he comes back on his left foot
26:48you're expecting him to wind it into that top corner great opportunity for Dimitri Payet
26:54he'll be disappointed he hasn't hit the target just his sort of chance that isn't it bending it
27:01into the far post with his left foot he loves that sort of range but
27:06unable to hit the target there Dimitri Payet
27:09they're on top though Marseille there's no doubt about that
27:12completely different Marseille from that first leg it really is
27:19so
27:24Till's lost possession Feyenoord can't keep it
27:27Payet looked for Dieng but came off the forwards heel
27:34Feyenoord need to get some sort of control some sort of grip here because
27:39Marseille are really dominating them yeah the intensity is fantastic led by Dimitri Payet on
27:44this occasion he's penalized for the challenge on Kertu but certainly so much better the way
27:50they've gone about the start of this game their intent to win the ball back
27:55not allow Feyenoord any time in position of the ball
28:03Sanesi, Trauner
28:05yeah Trauner got two at the weekend
28:14now victory over Fortuna Sittard
28:20Trauner
28:24Sampaoli barking out the orders from that technical area
28:27encouraging his team to press as soon as they lose possession of the ball
28:35Malasia it was the full back battling for the ball there with Saliba
28:57they are so loud
28:59well that can only but help their team they're driving them on they really are
29:13seem to be a push on Gendouzi but the referee says play on
29:16as Dessus chases this he does seem to be moving more freely now Dessus
29:22took him a while though didn't it after getting that knock to the lower back i think he actually
29:26got his his achilles so not to his achilles as well but on we go Dieng
29:35Gendouzi, Dieng angles working against him Aritz in the middle and Jesson arriving too
29:43and Gueye hit it but well off target flag up now on the far side
29:47yeah it was Dieng i think that was flagged offside as that ball's played
29:51into it by Gendouzi before crossing from the byline
29:57so
30:14not one year left on his arsenal deal reese nelson not get clear whether he'll return to
30:20the emirates over the summer certainly been playing well in recent months four finals
30:27and of the best noise if you're an opponent a visitor is those whistles when you're in
30:35possession of the ball they are trying to upset you they are trying to put you off
30:40and i think that always is encouragement to the visiting team that they're getting frustrated
30:46if Feyenoord can keep the ball for any length of time you will start to hear those whistles get
30:53louder just a reminder the away goals rule of course scraps last season a 1-0 win tonight would
31:03have been good enough for Marseille to go through but that would only take us to extra time this
31:08evening Feyenoord with something to protect it's a very different Feyenoord approach to that which
31:15we saw in the first leg
31:22Rangers have doubled their lead at Ibrox and now lead
31:25on aggregate as well Camara with the second after Tavania had got the first what a score
31:32line that is against Leipzig who many fully expected to get through in that tie but Rangers
31:38lead on aggregate now what a European week this has been so much drama and it continues
31:44this evening
31:50I have to say unfortunately West Ham down to 10 men it's going to be difficult them turning
31:55round the tie for an all British final one goal deficit that they have against Frankfurt
32:07Saliba
32:15Rafael Bolle has given Frankfurt the lead now on the night in Germany
32:20West Ham a man down a goal down on the night and two goals down on aggregate now
32:29looks like perhaps the Hammers dreams of a European final could be evaporating so early on
32:36in Germany
32:40well we covered didn't we Frankfurt's game in Barcelona they were absolutely
32:43magnificent that night it's one of the best European away performances
32:47I've ever seen I'll put it in that bracket absolutely sensational performance and
32:51it was always going to be a difficult task for West Ham in the semi-final but
32:55position they find themselves in now is going to be quite extraordinary if they
33:00hope to progress to the final
33:10it's all to play for here and I've got to say really impressed with the start that Marseille
33:14have made in complete contrast to the way that they performed in that first leg last week
33:21I have to say their 3-0 loss to Lyon in the velodrome on Sunday night was hardly ideal
33:30preparation their heaviest league undefeat of the season that was but there is a more authority
33:36about them tonight more confidence about them an eagerness and energy that perhaps wasn't always
33:42there in the first leg caught out defensively with individual errors on several occasions
33:49Feyenoord could have scored more than they actually did although having said that
33:53you could say Marseille could have scored more than they actually did as well yeah it was
33:56extraordinary game it really was the way it unfolded Feyenoord deserved to take their 2-0
34:00lead they struck back almost immediately Marseille the young's goal and then Gerson's equalizer
34:06and then with the architects of their own down forward 10 seconds into the start of this
34:11second half to concede in the third
34:14Alessia
34:19Sinistrata shows down the line it was played inside to Dessus
34:25Saliba, Gendouzi
34:30Luan Perez, Pap Gueye
34:34Pap Gueye
34:39certainly better control quality of pass the touch of movement has been excellent from Marseille
34:45they are in control of this tie although they still obviously are one goal in arrears
34:52Marseille
35:07Marseille met here by Senezi
35:15wild challenge from the final captain of Gerson
35:23he's just thinking he's just thinking
35:29I sometimes think he might he might cover more ground than some of the players
35:34or he's non-stop it's a poor challenge kicking through the back of Gerson
35:41was forced to retire Sampaoli the man down here from Marseille was forced to retire at the age of
35:4719 there's a player after he suffered a badly broken leg
35:56it's Payet who's the player with the problem here
36:08almost half an hour gone still nil-nil on the night finaled
36:12retain that 3-2 advantage on aggregate
36:30I was surprised to read the other day about Payet that apparently he chose to
36:42and I think I think he's he's going to play no further part
36:49clearly with his match-winning potential he's desperate to keep him on but it doesn't look
36:54good at all does it here for Dimitri Payet had to come off injured you might remember in the
37:00first half of the 3-0 loss to Atletico in the 2018 Europa League final and it looks like
37:08injury has struck him again Clive in another really big game for Marseille that's so unfortunate
37:13we said Aaron Poole he was going to be our instrumental he is when Marseille play well
37:18Dimitri Payet contributes looks like Milik's being ready to come into that center forward position
37:26I think he's just popped a right calf as he's as he's played that ball forward
37:30into the run of Rondje you see he hit the deck he knew immediately
37:33a completely different type of player coming on though isn't it Milik for Payet and
37:40intriguingly of course Milik a former Ajax man up against Feyenoord here it's another subplot
37:46that's a really unfortunate sight to see Dimitri Payet having to go off
38:03Gendouzi with the ball in camera beaten in the air by Senezi
38:15just down to 10 here for the moment Marseille with Milik
38:19get ready to come on Rondje, Luan Perez
38:29Gendouzi
38:34Rondje
38:41you know they can make that change certainly got a good record in European competition this
38:47season eight goals in nine games that's one goal more than he scored in Ligue 1
38:51this season 20 and 35 appearances in all competitions and what a welcome for him
38:56they know how important he could be leading the line now for Marseille this evening
39:01missed two decent chances didn't he in the defeat to Lyon on Sunday Milik
39:09as his goal records illustrates with 20 in all competitions this season
39:16he's a fine centre forward with the Polish international now another man down here for
39:20Marseille it's Kamara who's been caught and it's a yellow card for the show to Hustil
39:26Hustil yeah he was late as Kamara tried to sweep that ball out wide to the right hand
39:32side till was late with his challenge stamps down on his left boot
39:51Rondje
39:52Rondje
39:55Milik waiting in the middle over towards him his first touch Adam his first touch and a chance
40:02just flighted up to him Rondje feeds Gerson, Gerson just clips it into an air route attack
40:09it's got connection but he can't get the direction to trouble the keeper
40:22so easy
40:32the end it was with the challenge
40:41have one off of their three previous
40:44European Conference League home games Marseille though they
40:47haven't kept a clean sheet in any of those wins
40:52Lyon have scored at least two goals in all of their last 10
40:56Europa Conference League matches and at least three in each of the last five but
41:00interestingly they've offered very little going forward so far tonight their approach seems to be
41:06one more of containment perhaps certainly much more than it was in the first leg which is
41:11understandable absolutely yes I think obviously people want to concede early they're trying to
41:19just stay very compact defensively and play the ball forward in the manner that they did in that
41:24first leg but they do hold the advantage they're protecting the lead Rondje
41:32Dienk, Trauner got it clear
41:43well Gay just fell on the ball
41:55we now know the identity of the teams who will be in this season's Champions League final and
41:59what a game that should be Liverpool against Real Madrid in Paris Saturday the 28th of May
42:06the Europa League final which it looks like Rangers now have a good chance of being in
42:11Wednesday the 18th of May VT Sport 1 and Ultimate and the final of this competition
42:17Wednesday the 25th of May in Tirana in Albania VT Sport 1 and Ultimate just a reminder Roma
42:25lead 1-0 on the night in the Eternal City against Leicester 2-1 on aggregate
42:31and it is Feyenoord as it stands who will be going through in this time but plenty of time
42:36for everything to turn around as we saw it doesn't take long does it for things to turn around as we
42:43saw in that game between Real Madrid and Manchester City as Nelson will chase this up against Luan
42:49for face
42:54Nelson and again
43:06as we can see a completely different approach from Feyenoord whereas in that first league
43:10they put balls forward in behind Marseille's defense tonight just trying to keep position
43:15so control possession of the ball running the clock down just trying to frustrate the home team
43:24no hurry to do anything
43:40they needed this though didn't they Feyenoord just this period of play
43:44deeper inside the Marseille half a bit of territory basically territory just trying
43:49to break the game up as well just take the momentum away from the home side
43:57miscommunication with Malasia
44:07full moon is I think the word that goes with that image
44:13so
44:24those two have been excellent at the heart of the final defense this season
44:28is Desus who had Perez took it away from him
44:39now good ball that
44:40that's Desus with Nelson up in support and the shot on the volley is deflected wide it came
44:49the shot from Till first chance of the game that for Feyenoord and it's good play first time that
44:54Desus has got in behind that Marseille defense he then just chips that ball back the volley is
44:59blocked Till's strike is on target you can see the way Mandanda is throwing himself to the left
45:05hand side the deflection away for a Feyenoord corner it's brought Trauner forwards
45:15nervous whistles around the Valadro
45:20will take this for the Dutch side
45:22talking to from the referee a lot of pulling and pushing in front of Mandanda you can see
45:37still going on you notice there is a laser there being shot on Kirchherr his delivery in
45:45and Mandanda got just enough on that
45:47well best man of the game for the visitors Feyenoord after what was a strong bright start
46:18so
46:28half time 0-0 another slot will be the happier of the two coaches i'm sure
46:34yeah Trauner with the throw in Kirchherr Nelson seeing a bit more of the ball inside the Marseille
46:40half now they've got themselves a free kick in a good position inside the last five minutes of
46:45a half yeah rush challenge from Perez Nelson just toes it away from him diving into that challenge
46:52with that long left leg this time's it opportunity for Feyenoord as we come to
46:58towards the end of his first half
47:05Kirchherr and Nelson
47:06having to talk right into each other's ears barely hear each other the noise around the
47:15Valadro will he be called into action here nine assists he's got in the area of easy this season
47:23Kirchherr is there one of their chief creators
47:28that's a good ball and it set up a chance for Desus
47:31well what a fine pass that was from Kirchherr
47:38Desus just moved to the edge of the box unmarked strike was blocked
47:47strong end to the half this isn't it from Feyenoord
47:54the game has definitely changed since Payet went off absolutely
47:59momentum swung towards the visitors
48:05it really seems to have disrupted Marseille's rhythm because you bringing Milik on you're
48:11playing in a very different way because you're playing up to somebody because Payet was dropping
48:16into space wasn't he almost in a number 10 position at times absolutely he's far easier
48:21to find was Dimitri Payet dropping in the pocket slightly deeper Milik leading the line but his
48:26high is a long way away from midfield players
48:36Nelson told to go away by the referee big game in the Premier League
48:40coming up on Saturday just to let you know it's an evening kickoff as well that at Anfield
48:45Liverpool chasing the title through to the Champions League final Spurs still want the top four spot
48:52you know Clive Allen will have eyes on that game
48:55I will be watching that one Adam yes a big week for
48:58for my old club obviously Liverpool away and then Arsenal coming on the Thursday two massive games
49:04which could be pivotal in where they finish in the Premier League come the end of the season
49:08really is the business end of the campaign isn't it
49:11Saliba gives it away Nelson Dessus beyond him
49:24here Trowder is a long way forward
49:30Ausness Kirkchur Dessus helped it on nearly got in there Dessus with the pass Kirkchur
49:38look to try and place it and fine order at the end of this half are the more dangerous of the
49:43two teams now well it's all very intricate on the edge of that box they couldn't clear their lines
49:48Marseille Dessus Kirkchur trying to combine and in the end he tries to just pass it into the far
49:54corner hits the heel I think of Kamara corner conceded the good spell feeding the ball in
50:02but maybe a bit offside as Dessus helps that on game continued
50:09he'll be desperate for half time now Sampaoli just to get his players into regroup tactically
50:14as much as anything it wasn't offside there which is why the free kick taken by Mondanda
50:21final minute of the half Dieng
50:26Ganduzzi just beaten to that good challenge sliding in was Malasia at the expense of a
50:34corner well did well did really well Malasia to track the run of Dieng sliding in to concede the
50:41corner they've got a bit quiet since Payet went off Marseille could they finish the half
50:51with a flourish here the last minute of normal time
50:59Dessus Nelson makes the run down the left foul on Dessus yellow card for the challenge
51:07Harit is the player booked yeah just pushes into the back of Dessus as he trying to run away from him
51:16see here it's not going to get goal side is Harit make sure Dessus can't
51:23run into that forward position and cause a real problem on the counter
51:30so a minimum of two minutes added time at the end of the half Malasia took the free kick
51:38it's been a strange half in some ways hasn't it because Marseille looks so good for a lot of it
51:46since Payet went off they've really dropped in terms of their intensity yeah it certainly affected
51:51the home side I thought the opening 20 minutes was theirs the way that they came out they pressed
51:56they certainly harried Feyenoord I think they weathered that storm the visitors and they've
52:01grown as the half's worn on Trano with a good header back to Mafia Marciano
52:11Senezi
52:14spying in the captain Senezi on Guendouzi it's the yellow card for the centre-back
52:22oh it's a sloppy pass gives it away Senezi
52:25to Guendouzi with a really poor pass and it comes flying into the challenge
52:31Guendouzi tows it Senezi catches him yellow card
52:35it's half time in the other semi-final in this competition Roma are a goal sticker against
52:39Leicester at the Olimpico Tammy Abraham with the header that is the difference between the two teams
52:462-1 on aggregate
52:50still no goals in this second leg Feyenoord with that narrow advantage but a free kick to defend
52:56at the end have added time here Arit surveying the options
53:05could they strike right at the end of the half here Marseille
53:08it's in towards Milik's a great defensive header by Trauner
53:12Kamara sends it back in there Rongier beaten to it by Nelson
53:18final seconds have added time now played it towards Milik
53:21easy save for Marciano his second head up again straight into the arms of Marciano
53:27the Feyenoord keeper so there is the half-time whistle at the velodrome
53:33one of the key moments of that first half the injury to Dimitri Payet so often a difference
53:39maker for Marseille but they're going to have to turn this around without him now Milik the
53:43man who's come on for the stricken Payet frustrating really that first half for Marseille
53:50Feyenoord
