00:00The last draft of the Regulations and Orders on the Prohibition of Smoking for Public Health in 2024 is now in the hands of the Minister of Health's Advisory Board, Minister Zulkifli Ahmad.

00:15Zulkifli said the last investigation was carried out before the document was submitted to the Supreme Court and submitted for the passing of the State Prosecutor's Office for implementation.

00:25The Prohibition of Smoking for Public Health Act, among others, stipulates the prohibition of the sale and purchase of tobacco products, tobacco products or products that replace tobacco, as well as the provision of tobacco for underage children.

00:40The Anti-Smoking Law that was passed in the State Council last December was passed in February.

00:47Prior to this, the Ministry of Health reported concerns from health experts that the strengthening of the Act might just be a piece of cake, as was the case with the prohibition of the generation of smokers who were expelled from the government.

01:01Former President of the Association of Public Health Medical Experts, Dr. Zainal Arifin Omar, said the announcement of the implementation of the Act was previously made too general, without slowdown and reasonable assessment.
