► Film in public domain. Documentary produced by the Lumière brothers society and directed by the French photographer and filmmaker Jean Alexandre Louis Promio in 1896.
1) The Swiss businessman and photographer François Henri Lavanchy-Clarke was a representative of Lever Brothers (currently Unilever) products in Switzerland and also got the representation of producing Lumière films there. With that, the advertising piece for Sunlight soap was produced.
2) The 1st version was the official one released for publicity. The 2nd version has some curiosities: one of the children cries when called to attention by one of the washerwomen and Lavanchy-Clarke himself appears guiding the other child.

2) A 1ª versão foi a oficial lançada para publicidade. A 2ª versão conta com algumas curiosidades: uma das crianças sai chorando ao ser chamada à atenção por uma das lavadeiras e o próprio Lavanchy-Clarke surge orientando a outra criança.
