PBBM leads PAFFF distribution in Butuan and Surigao del Sur

00:10took to the Caraga region in Tandag and Butuan in particular to show the sectors in need

00:22that completes the President's Mindanao tour for the PAFFF program.

00:30Carlos Salvation has been a farmer in San Agustin Surgao del Sur for 20 years.

00:35Through farming, he provides for the needs of his family and sends his children to school.

00:40But this year, he has had difficulty in making ends meet due to the effects of El Nino.

00:45Hence, he is thankful for being one of the beneficiaries of the Presidential

00:49Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families.

01:00Aside from Carlos, Maylin Flores, a farmer of Butuan City,

01:12is also one of more than 11,000 beneficiaries of the program.

01:16Each beneficiary received P10,000 cash assistance.

01:28DSWD also extends financial assistance worth P10,000 to more than 4,000 beneficiaries of Region 13.

01:36Department of Agriculture Region 13 data showed a P700 million loss due to El Nino.

01:42Local government units extended their gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

01:47and other government agencies.

02:12Aside from financial assistance, the beneficiaries also received farm equipment and machinery,

02:37seeds of hybrid rice, vegetables and other plants.

02:43President Marcos also emphasized in his speech in Tandag City that he would develop and make

03:00people productive in the province and the entire region.
