Will £10m be enough to sign Joe Rodon from Spurs this summer?

00:00With the Rodon thing, that might be quite protracted because I don't think they'll be alone
00:05in going for him. I think there'll be others that want him as well and they're going to have to put
00:08together a really solid case. I think part of their solid case will be, well, he actually wants
00:13to be here because, by all accounts, last season he felt like he'd found a home at Ellen Road,
00:20so I think that will weigh massively in Leeds' favour. I'm not saying that money doesn't talk
00:26and Premier League status doesn't talk, but I certainly think that when at least two of your
00:33best pals from your international team and all the friends you made last season,
00:37very close with Archie Gray and a couple of others, when they're still at Leeds,
00:42touch wood at least, then why not go back and enjoy yourself a second year and get the job done?
00:48He feels to me like a, I want to get this right, I want to get this job done and completed kind
00:54of a bloke. Yeah, he strikes me as the same type and we've seen reports from competing titles this
01:02week that, well, those who cover Spurs on the day-to-day, that around £10 million might be
01:10enough to make Tottenham press the big green button and say, yes, go on, go to Leeds. But
01:16again, £10 million's a lot of money when it's your second year in the Championship
01:20and I feel like Leeds probably would have eyed a fee lower than that if they were going to stay
01:25down because, as I say, that's a big, big chunk of the parachute payments that you're going to
01:32receive and I know a lot of that obviously has to go towards wages. And again, you are fighting an
01:38uphill battle in terms of what you're able to offer compared to potential Premier League interest.
01:43So, you know, you are really, really leaning on the fact that he does want to be here.
01:49But yeah, we'll see how that one pans out.
