While Justin's been silent about what happened leading up to his arrest, Stewart says she'll be "extremely disappointed" if he eventually issues a weak mea culpa and gets a slap on the wrist, criminally.

00:00Well, at MADD, we believe that no celebrity should be immune from having to face the full
00:09consequences of their actions.
00:11And that includes Justin and that includes anybody.
00:14Celebrities should not excuse you from having to own up to an illegal action.
00:20If that is the outcome of the entire legal process here, based on all the evidence that
00:26has been reported publicly, it does seem clear that he was impaired.
00:31And because he was impaired and because he was driving, he needs to own up to those consequences
00:35and pay whatever he should in terms of restitution in this process.
00:45One of the things that we would feel very strongly about, and we work a lot with victims
00:48and survivors, helping them and guiding them through the criminal justice process with
00:53their own cases, is that we are too often disappointed that far too often people get
00:59off without having to really bear the full ownership of their actions.
01:06And it's just simply not acceptable, whether it's an everyday person or whether it's a
01:10celebrity.
01:11So we believe very strongly that the legal system should work its way through, the process
01:16should work the way it should, and that Justin should be held accountable for his actions
01:22at the same level that anyone else would in this industry.
