00:00Life of Pi, Aang's film, and Martin Scorsese's Hugo,
00:05and even Ridley Scott's Prometheus,
00:08these were filmmakers at the top of their game authoring in 3D.
00:12Those are worthy films.
00:14It's all the kind of rank-and-file conversion movies
00:17where the filmmakers haven't cared,
00:19or the studio hasn't let them, you know, author,
00:21actually shoot in 3D.
00:23They're not that good.
00:24And I think it's hurt it.
00:26But we've also got to put it in perspective.
00:29When Avatar came out, there were 6,000-ish 3D,
00:33digital 3D screens in the world.
00:35Sure.
00:36There's now 120,000 3D-enabled digital screens in the world,
00:4060,000 alone in China.
00:42So it's much more ubiquitous, it's much more available,
00:47it's much more accessible, and it's much less important.
00:50Right.
00:51Much less important.
00:52I mean, people will make choices.
00:54Nobody's going to go to see a movie because it's in 3D.
00:56They're going to go see a movie
00:57because of all the other reasons they want to see the film.
