00:00Maurice says, uh, we're going to be okay, Paul, it's, if you go by home ice, it's supposed
00:08to be three, two.
00:09I know it's not what you wanted, but it's supposed to be three, two as there.
00:12Is that going to be somewhat, I don't know, not definitely not comfort, but it's supposed
00:17to be hard.
00:18I mean, I'm not rubbing backs.
00:21I don't think we need that at all feels probably exactly the way I do right now.
00:26So there's the, I don't, I'm not, uh, feeling deflated.
00:35Neither is the hockey team.
00:36They're not feeling deflated, a little grumpy, a little grumpy, Joe, feeling a little grumpy.
00:42How about that?
00:43I'm not rubbing their backs.
00:44That's a Joe line.
00:45Right?
00:46Not rubbing.
00:47I'd say you shouldn't be rubbing any backs.
00:51He eats iron and crap steel.
00:53You know that that's what Paul Maurice does.
00:56He's a tough guy.
00:57I love him.
00:58Here's the thing.
00:59You know, as well as anybody, if Florida gets back to basics and all of a sudden they start
01:03stifling McDavid and, and smothering him right where they get no shots after the first 10
01:10minutes, they're going to win that type of game.
01:12They most likely are considering the fact that burbrowsky bounces back to the point
01:17where you get adequate goaltending.
01:19I mean, you can't give up the first goal and then all of a sudden you blink, you're down
01:23three, nothing.
01:25I mean, that cannot happen.
01:26The power play has been the best benefit for Edmonton over the past couple of games.
01:31If they could stay off the power play, Florida's got a shot.
01:34And in game three, they jumped up early, right?
01:37They jumped up early, sealed it.
01:38So that is the key.
01:40If they, if they do not jump up early, then all the pressure on burbrowsky, right?
01:45Can he sustain it for three periods, get them back in it?
01:48It's going to, they're going to play tight.
01:50So if I'm Florida, I go all out.
01:52I try, I try to score first and go all out.
01:55If I lose, I lose.
01:56Then we were worried about game seven.
01:58Well, I mean, it also hasn't helped them, Joe, that not only are they giving up the
02:03first goal these last couple of games, their shorthanded goals, they've given up to start
02:09these games.
02:10Like those are situations where, like you said, they have an opportunity on a power
02:14play early in the first period to establish a lead, establish something.
02:20And instead you're giving one up the other way.
02:23That is, that is not how you get it done.
02:26That's for sure.
02:27So that's an awful job that they've had to start these games the last few times out.
