00:00So, and as we focus on this year's Cup Final, Florida, a home ice favorite for game number
00:10one.
00:11They have home ice advantage throughout the Stanley Cup Final and a short favorite to
00:15win Lord Stanley's Cup at minus 130.
00:19Is Florida the correct favorite before we get to game number one for the series overall,
00:24which starts tomorrow night?
00:26I think they are for sure.
00:28Like I think the Edmonton Oilers are going to give them a run for their money.
00:31But if we're just setting odds, I think Florida should be the favorite.
00:34They've proved themselves throughout their entire run to the Stanley Cup Final.
00:37They've been here before.
00:38They're a team that's well-equipped to make it all the way and they just play Florida
00:42Panthers style hockey.
00:44It's a very different style of hockey than other teams and you saw the New York Rangers
00:47trying to just do it and they just were not able to.
00:50We'll see if Edmonton is able to do the same thing, but they have a very unique way of
00:54playing this game.
00:55It's like no other team in the NHL watching the Florida Panthers play hockey.
00:59It should be a good one.
01:00But also does that equate to an extended series because we take a look at some of these price
01:04points in four games, the plus 580 price, but the favorite in the series is to actually
01:08go seven games here.
01:10We love close games.
01:11We love overtimes and more importantly, a game seven in a final.
01:14We would love that.
01:15How do you see the series playing out shorter or longer here for you?
01:19I think six or seven for sure.
01:21I think these two teams are going to go at it and I think that Edmonton is riding a lot
01:26of momentum coming out of the Western Conference Final and Florida has kind of been strong
01:28throughout the entire postseason.
01:29So matching up head-to-head, I see it going the distance.
01:32I wonder how much home ice advantage is going to be a factor in this game because there
01:35is a lot of distance between these two cities.
01:38I think this is the furthest Stanley Cup Final has ever been.
01:41I believe I saw that so Edmonton and Florida a lot of travel time.
01:45So you wonder how the home ice advantage thing is going to change with the Stanley Cup Final
01:48compared to previous rounds.
01:50So if that's a factor, I'm saying like maybe six games and then we see that happen, but
01:54I could easily see this going seven.
01:56I think it's going to be in for the long haul.
01:58Anna, to your point, Edmonton, the northernmost organization in the National Hockey League,
02:04the Florida Panthers, the southern most team in all of the NHL, a long distance to travel
02:11between these two cities.
02:13Let's talk about the guys between the pipes, the net minders for this Stanley Cup Final.
02:18We know the man known as Bob Sergei Bobrovsky has been great the last two postseason runs
02:23for the Florida Panthers.
02:25Stuart Skinner, sensational in the clincher in the Western Conference Finals over the
02:29Dallas Stars, but was benched at a point throughout this postseason for Edmonton.
02:35So when you look at the goalies in the Cup Final, who do you give the edge?
02:41This is a tough one.
02:42I think I got to give the edge to Sergei Bobrovsky just because he's been so consistent and was
02:45such a big part of the Florida Panthers making their run last season.
02:49I thought he stood out there, but I got to give Stuart Skinner some credit.
02:53The way he played in that series against the Dallas Stars, he made some big time saves
02:56when it mattered the most.
02:57I thought he gained confidence as the series went on.
03:00The storyline's always been in the Conference Finals that of the four remaining goalies,
03:04Stuart Skinner was kind of the one goalie that you couldn't rely on, that maybe his
03:08team would have to compensate for, and he definitely proved them wrong towards the end
03:12of that series.
03:13He showed up when it mattered most to Edmonton, and Sergei Bobrovsky heading into the Conference
03:17Finals did not have the best save percentage this postseason.
03:21I would trust Sergei Bobrovsky, obviously, more than Stuart Skinner overall, just one-to-one
03:25because of his experience.
03:26He's a Fresno winning goalie.
03:27He's done it before.
03:28He's made it this far before, but I'm not discounting Stuart Skinner.
03:31I think this is more evenly matched than people will think.
03:35It's not like him against Igor Shostakovich, and then you would have a very lopsided goalie
03:38matchup.
03:39Great matchup, no doubt about it here, but if we're taking a look at the series itself,
03:44who is going to win this?
03:45Will it be South Florida?
03:46Will it be Edmonton?
03:48I hate this question.
03:49I hate it so much because I'm going to say the Florida Panthers.
03:54I think the Florida Panthers are going to win this series, and I'm going to say that
03:57it's going to go seven games.
03:59The official Anadua Stanley Cup Final prediction that she loved to give out on the SportsGrid
04:05Network, the Florida Panthers in seven games.
04:09What a Stanley Cup Final that would be.
04:10I hope I'm wrong.
04:11Anna, quick.
04:12Why?
04:13Oh, because if the whole Canada is wrong.
04:15I would love if that was wrong.
04:17All right.
04:18But hey, listen, that's your non-biased way, just looking at the actual stats and figures
04:23that we have for the Cup Final, and a game one tomorrow night in sunrise.
04:28What do you think the series begins looking like tomorrow between the Panthers and the
04:32Oilers?
04:34Like I said with the New York Rangers series and the Eastern Conference Final, these teams
04:37have to adjust to Florida's style of play, so I think Florida wins game one.
04:41I really like their look in game one.
04:42I think maybe that's going to be the biggest differential we see, too, in terms of goals
04:46between the two teams, as well, if you're taking a look at the puck line.
04:50Just because I think the Florida Panthers play a very specific style of hockey, as I've
04:54been saying, where they're rough, they play a very physical game, and they have very skilled
04:59players that they kind of spread out throughout their lineup, and they're all able to contribute
05:03in that way.
05:04So I think it's going to take one game for Edmonton to figure out what's going on with
05:08Florida, get a breather, and make adjustments for game two, but I like Florida in game one.
05:13If the Panthers win by multiple goals, cover on that puck line, it's plus 190.
05:18Some plus money out there for the starter of the Stanley Cup.
