The Taipei First Girls Senior High School Honour Guard and Drum Corps were founded in 1904 in Taipei which is now the capital of Taiwan. The bands is one of Taiwan's top senior High Schools know for it's academic excellence.

The School student body consists of around three thousand girls aged between 16 and 18 years old who come from across all parts of Taiwan which is an island nation with over 23 million people despite it only being half the size of Scotland.

To inspire the students to make a positive difference in the world, the school provides students with an open and dynamic learning environment that offers the opportunity to take traditional subjects alongside athletics and the arts.

Over the past century, the school has nurtured many intelligent, confident, and caring young women. Some have gone on to become leaders in their respective fields, such as Taiwan's current Vice-President, Ms Lu Hsiu-Lieu.

Along with it's outstanding academic record, the school is particularly proud of it's marching band which was established in 1959 with an honour guard formed in 1963 and colour guard in 1998, who have received many awards for their activities.

The marching band consists of an ensemble of elite student musicians while the honour guard performs complex rifle routines.
