00:00All those who take the metro know the delays, the crowded trams, the heat, the dirt and sometimes the insecurity.

00:06The good news is that Île-de-France Mobilité invested 5 billion euros, in addition to the funds for the new trams,

00:12to improve the quality of the service from January 2025.

00:16Île-de-France Mobilité will deploy new trains on the metro network and the RER B and A by 2027.

00:22Lines 3, 7, 8, 10 and 13 will be modernized, with a total automation of line 13 planned for 2035.

00:31They also want to improve access to information for users, especially in case of disruption.

00:36In terms of comfort and accessibility, special attention will be paid to the escalators, elevators and other equipment,

00:43such as the wind machines with a voice interface.

00:46Toilets and water fountains could also be seen in metro stations.

00:50In terms of safety, the plan is full of details, but indicates that the safety of spaces and trams is a priority

00:58and that the presence of video protection and call boards must be ensured at a very high level of requirement.

01:04All these objectives are grouped under three main sections,

01:07punctuality, the quality of the route and the satisfaction of travelers.

01:11These three sections will receive an annual operating envelope of 38.2 million euros,

01:1730.5 million euros and 24.9 million euros from Île-de-France Mobilité.

01:23Depending on the results obtained for each of the criteria cited,

01:26Île-de-France Mobilité will apply a bonus or a penalty to the RATP.
