00:00Inside Out 2 had an out-of-this-world weekend in theaters.
00:03Hi, I'm Tiffany Taylor for The Hollywood Reporter, and we're breaking down the
00:06latest box office numbers on today's THR Charts The Breakdown for Monday, June 17.
00:11Riley, how was camp?
00:17It was good.
00:18Inside Out 2 debuted well ahead of expectations, bringing in a massive,
00:22historic $155 million. This marks the second biggest animated movie launch of all time.
00:29Fellow Pixar sequel, Incredibles 2, is the crown holder.
00:32I talked to the cast of the movie at the world premiere,
00:34and star Amy Poehler told me how voicing the emotion joy has brought her joy.
00:39To be in a film like this means a lot. It's very hard to be in something that is
00:43really good, that means something and says something, and that a lot of people see.
00:48You don't always get those three things. So, it's changed me a lot.
00:53As for the rest of the chart, Bad Boys Ride or Die came in second, its second weekend in theaters.
00:58It brought in another $33 million, for a total so far of $112.2 million.
01:05Plus, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is still going strong. It came in third,
01:09with $5.2 million over the weekend, for a total gross so far of $157.8 million.
01:17Meanwhile, The Garfield Movie was number four, and The Watchers rounded out the top five.
01:22So, what did you see in theaters this weekend? Be sure to let me know in the comments,
01:25and thanks again for watching THR Charts The Breakdown,
01:28your destination for what to watch right now.
