00:00Congratulations on this film. Everyone's so excited about it. I know Ryan Coogler himself said that this is much more than a vampire horror, so how would you describe the film and the elements at play?
00:13I feel like it's a film that is rooted in community, love, music, inspiration, ancestry, hope, and then also vampires.
00:28I heard it's also part musical. How does that come into play?
00:31There's blues music throughout the whole movie. We meet a young Sammy, played by Miles Catton, who is inspired and just desperate to be a musician and a blues musician.
00:48He has the gift, he has the talent, he has it. I think music is a character in itself.
00:59Were you able to have music as part of your character? Did you have a little singing in there?
01:05I don't sing in it, no. I wish I did.
01:08I know some of the other cast was talking about some of the numbers that they had. Maybe in the sequel, perhaps?
01:15Maybe.
01:18I love that. I know I said that this is much more than just a vampire horror, but there's obviously a lot of iconic vampire movies throughout cinema. What was one that really changed the game for you?
01:29I'm not really a vampire movie fan, but I can tell you a vampire movie I watched that I really liked was the right one in, the original one, the European one. I don't know which country it was. That's probably the only one plus cinemas that I've ever watched.
01:45Finally, I did want to talk about the TVA. The TVA made an appearance in Deadpool and Wolverine. What are your hopes for them in the MCU in the future? Maybe an appearance in The Avengers?
01:56I have no idea what they have planned for the TVA. My hope is that they come back.
