00:00I'm sure most of the time, when you say a person is a cook, you would imagine that they serve complicated dishes at home, but in fact, it's the other way around.
00:14Like our next recipe, this is what I usually cook, which is a shortcut.
00:20A little bit of washing, a little bit of preparation.
00:23We're going to make Pork Pilaf.
00:26So when we say Pilaf, it's basically a rice dish that you cooked stock.
00:33You can also add in here different spices, depending on your trip.
00:37But since we're going to make it simple, we're just going to use onions as the aromatics.
00:42The base of this is to just cook rice.
00:45But before we get to the actual cooking process, we're going to make the flavor.
00:51So we have a pot here.
00:53I'll just put the pork belly.
00:57Maybe just a tip when you're making your own version of Pilaf, when you're adding other meat.
01:03One thing you have to consider is that the meat has to be cooked at the same time with the rice.
01:12I would maybe discourage you from using the big cuts that take a long time to cook.
01:19So for this dish, we're going to use pork belly.
01:22We're just rendering the fat.
01:27I'm just going to add a little bit of water, or in this case, rice wash.
01:35Then we're going to add the onions.
01:40Next up, the rice.
01:42We've already washed it, we're just going to add it to the onions and pork.
01:50Once we've infused the rice grains with the onions and pork, we're going to add the stock.
02:03We're also going to add cashew nuts and grated carrots.
02:20The rice is almost done.
02:24This is the perfect time to add the other ingredients.
02:29Here are the leeks, the rest of the carrots, and a little bit of cashew nuts.
02:49Once we've mixed the other ingredients, we can now cover it and serve it.
03:19Thank you for watching!
