00:00Congratulations, Class of 2020!
00:05Congratulations, Class of 2020!
00:12Congratulations, Class of 2020!
00:18Congratulations, Class of 2020!
00:31John! John! John! John!
00:39What a nice welcome. Thank you. Thank you very much.
00:44That is really something.
00:46I knew I should be here. You know, I knew it.
00:50I was told, be here, and I said, I think it's the right place to be.
00:54Because we did a lot of jobs in a lot of opportunity zones,
01:00which was great with Tim Scott.
01:02He was really hard at work always.
01:06Tim, always our South Carolina senator.
01:09And he came in with the opportunity zone concept.
01:12And I think it was the best economic development ever done for the black community and beyond.
01:17So, it was really great.
01:20But I'm honored to be in Detroit at the 180 Church.
01:25180.
01:28I just met your pastor, your great pastor, Lorenzo Sewell, for hosting us.
01:33I want to thank Lorenzo for hosting us,
01:36and for all the work he's done to serve the people of this community.
01:40I hear he's phenomenal. Where is Lorenzo?
01:42Where is Lorenzo?
01:44What a good job you've done, Lorenzo.
01:47Be my pastor any day.
01:50I need it, too. I need it.
01:52Thank you, Lorenzo.
01:54Also, we have a great group of patriots, as you know.
01:58Byron Donalds is an incredible guy.
02:01He's an incredible guy.
02:05And I noticed he happens to be on the list of potential vice presidents.
02:09Would anybody like to see him as the vice president?
02:12I noticed your name is very high on the list.
02:17That's good.
02:18You should be on the list, too.
02:19Congressman John James, my friend.
02:22He is something special.
02:27Thank you, John, very much.
02:29Great job you're doing, too, by the way.
02:30And I heard you have no trouble.
02:32You're going to just breeze right through it.
02:34And you should, because you've done a fantastic job.
02:37Former Secretary and my really good friend for a long time, Ben Carson.
02:42Dr. Ben Carson.
02:52As a man, he worked very hard.
02:55No scandal.
02:56No, everybody has had their scandal.
02:59There was no scandal with Ben.
03:01Four years.
03:02It was perfect.
03:03He did a great job.
03:04And we love Ben.
03:05He's a special person and can be the whole family.
03:08Thank you, Ben, for being here.
03:10I appreciate it.
03:11A man who has the mojo.
03:15He's going to be a very great senator and take it off like a rocket.
03:21He's leading in all the polls.
03:23And he's going to be something very, very special.
03:26Mike Rogers.
03:28Mike, thank you very much.
03:30And Mrs. Rogers, thank you for being here.
03:34So nice to meet you.
03:35That was an easy endorsement for me.
03:37That was a real easy one.
03:39But he's got what it takes.
03:41And he'll be one of the most formidable senators.
03:44And I think he's going to do a phenomenal job bringing money back to your district,
03:48bringing jobs back to your district.
03:50He's a big believer in that.
03:52A person who has endorsed us, and he's been fantastic.
03:57He's run for office.
03:58He could have won for a lot of offices if you want.
04:00But he loved being a police chief.
04:03It's James Craig.
04:04Where is James?
04:06There he is.
04:11Wonderful guy.
04:12Thank you for the support, James.
04:14I really do appreciate it.
04:16And Michigan GOP chair, a friend of mine also, an incredible politician at the time.
04:22And he left.
04:23He didn't lose.
04:24He left after a while, and he went on to big things, including being an ambassador.
04:28And he's the one guy I wanted to head up the GOP here because we think we're going to win this state.
04:34We're leading right now by a lot.
04:36And we think we're going to win it.
04:39Thank you.
04:40Thank you, Pete.
04:44So it's an honor to be here.
04:46It's a very important area for us.
04:49We've done more for, and I say this, I say it proudly, more for the black population than any president since Abraham Lincoln.
04:58That's a big statement.
05:04And don't get jealous.
05:05Biden has done nothing for you except talk.
05:07It's only talk.
05:08It's all talk.
05:10He gets nothing.
05:11He gets nothing from anyone.
05:12He was lost.
05:13And he's in Europe.
05:14He's walking around.
05:15He doesn't know where the hell he is.
05:16He's supposed to help Detroit.
05:17I don't think so.
05:19But we achieved the lowest African-American unemployment rate and the lowest African-American poverty rate ever recorded,
05:26ever, ever recorded during my four years.
05:29We lifted 6.6 million people out of poverty.
05:35Black Americans saw their largest increase in homeownership on record.
05:40There's never been anything like it.
05:41This is during our period of time.
05:43We gave record funding to historically black colleges and universities.
05:47You all know that.
05:48They got great support.
05:50And I will just tell you a quick story.
05:53The heads of the colleges would come to Washington once every year.
05:56And after two years, I said, why do you guys keep coming?
05:59And I liked them.
06:00I liked a couple of them.
06:01Really, they're friends of mine.
06:02But the whole group was very ‑‑ they were just terrific people.
06:07Men and women heading up to colleges.
06:10And I said, why do you keep coming?
06:12Because they won't give us long-term financing.
06:14We have to come back every year.
06:16One said, and I say respectfully, he said, they make us feel like a bunch of beggars.
06:20We have to come back to Washington every year.
06:22I said, well, we're going to take care of that.
06:24And I got them actually more money than they asked for by far.
06:27And we got them long-term financing.
06:29And I said, the only thing sad is that I'll never see you again, probably.
06:32I will never meet you again.
06:34Because we got used to meeting.
06:35I kept saying that.
06:36And after a couple of years, I said, why do you have to keep coming back?
06:39I mean, you've been doing this.
06:40He said, we've been doing this for a long time.
06:43For 20 years, I guess.
06:45The one gentleman said he was there 20 years.
06:47You've been doing it for 20 years.
06:49He said, that's not right.
06:50And they do a very important job and a great job.
06:53And so I got you long-term financing.
06:59And I think all of them are voting for Trump.
07:01I don't know.
07:02I can't say maybe, but I'd say 99% of them.
07:05And if they aren't, I don't know what the hell the other side did.
07:08But we'll start an investigation or something, OK?
07:13We passed historic criminal justice reform, something that they've been after.
07:18People have been after for mostly the black community for years and years.
07:23And to get it done, they needed me.
07:25And as you know, President Obama tried.
07:27Biden doesn't even try.
07:29Well, he doesn't have to, because we got it done.
07:31But we're going to get it improved.
07:32But President Obama tried.
07:35Was unable to get it done.
07:36You needed conservative votes.
07:37And I got conservative votes.
07:39And we got criminal justice reform done.
07:42Nobody else could have done that.
07:46And we're very proud of it.
07:48When I left office, we had no inflation.
07:50Gasoline was less than $2.
07:52The 30-year mortgage was at 2.6%.
07:55The border was secure.
07:57Wages were rising.
08:00And the jobs were the best in the history of our country for African Americans, for black Americans.
08:06The jobs were the best in the history of our country.
08:09Other than that, what did I do?
08:11Not that much.
08:12Not that much.
08:14Now, watch.
08:15The press will put that on.
08:16I didn't do that much, because they're bad people.
08:18You know, that's why they have the fake news.
08:20You have the same problem that I do.
08:22They have fake news.
08:25So, Biden, on the other hand, Biden wrote the devastating 1994 crime bill, talking about super predators.
08:34That was Biden.
08:35You know, he walks around now talking about the black vote.
08:38He's the king of the super predators.
08:40And he wrote the 1994 crime bill that you talk about so much.
08:45I guess everybody here knows about that, especially if you happen to be black.
08:49And he was the one with the super predators.
08:52So, just please remember that when you think you're going to vote Democrat, because you shouldn't vote Democrat.
08:56Biden's inflation.
08:58Thank you.
08:59That's a big deal, too, because, you know, he tries to pretend like, oh, you know, nothing happened, nothing happened.
09:06He was the one.
09:07Biden's inflation has cost the typical American family $28,000.
09:12Millions of illegal aliens are pouring in, and they're taking your jobs.
09:15The black community is being hurt more by the illegal aliens, 16, 17 million.
09:21They're taking your jobs.
09:22You're down 6%, 7% from where you were just three years ago with me.
09:28And it's going much lower, because millions and millions of people are coming into your communities.
09:34It's no longer every state is a border state.
09:36You've heard that.
09:37But they're coming into your community, and they're taking your job.
09:40They're affecting the African Americans, and then after that, the Hispanic Americans more than any other group.
09:46And they're also affecting unions, because unions are starting to lose their grip because of it.
09:51They've never seen it.
09:52We're being inundated.
09:54Think of it.
09:55Millions of people are coming in from prisons, from mental institutions.
10:01They're terrorists at levels that we have never seen before.
10:04In 19, let's see, one year, 2019, we had a survey done.
10:12How many terrorists were coming in?
10:14That was in Trump year, 2019.
10:16They said none.
10:17Now, I don't even believe that.
10:19I think that's too good.
10:20I wish the fake news wasn't fake then, but it was done by Border Patrol, et cetera.
10:24And they said no terrorists came in in 2019.
10:27I can't believe that.
10:29But as soon as they took over, they have thousands of terrorists coming into our country.
10:37And we're all going to be hearing about that.
10:39We have to get them out.
10:40We have to.
10:41One of the first things we're doing is we're getting them out.
10:47They're coming in at levels never seen before.
10:50I say that by the time we get him out, and again, he's the worst president in the history of our country.
10:56And you know what?
10:57He's been the worst president for black people.
10:59He's been the worst president for Hispanic people.
11:02There's never been anybody so bad.
11:04And remember what I said about the crime bill.
11:06Under Biden, real wages for African-American workers are down 6%.
11:11That's the biggest decrease ever in a short period of time.
11:15You're down 6% since he took over.
11:17100% of the net jobs created under Biden have gone to the illegals.
11:23Did you know that?
11:24100% of the jobs created have gone to illegals.
11:29And then you're supposed to vote for this guy, and he doesn't know the difference.
11:33You're not talking about him.
11:35You're talking about people that control him, fascists, communists, people that want to see our country destroyed.
11:44So I'm going to quickly rebuild the greatest economy in history.
11:47We had the greatest economy in history, and we're going to stop inflation.
11:53Remember, even if you were making the same thing as you made, you're losing a fortune
11:57because with food prices and with all of the prices of interest rates, which went so high, and you can't get money,
12:05but with interest rates, housing costs, rent costs, all of the different costs,
12:10you're talking about 30%, 40%, and even 50% depending on what items you want to use.
12:15And people were making, if you're making the same amount of money, even if you made more, you're way behind the 8-poll.
12:20And people that actually somebody said, gee, I've been treated nicely, I've got wage increases,
12:25but I'm losing a fortune compared to when Trump was running things.
12:29We had almost no inflation, and they had inflation of a number, the real number.
12:34If you really get into the real number, it's probably 40% or 50% when you add things up,
12:39when you don't just put in the numbers that they want to hear.
12:42Look at just the cost of energy.
12:44I'm going to save the auto industry.
12:46Instead, we're going to be building all cars, not just electric cars.
12:50It's ridiculous.
12:51They don't go far.
12:53And they're fine.
12:54Some people might want them.
12:56And we're going to rebuild Detroit.
12:58We're going to get the car companies there.
13:01Under Biden, you're not going to have any more car business.
13:04And whoever Sean Fain is, he's the head of the union.
13:07I can tell you the United Auto Workers are voting for Trump.
13:10This guy went along with this ridiculous concept of switching over to all electric cars.
13:16They're all going to be made in China.
13:18They're very expensive, and they don't go far.
13:21They don't go far.
13:22So we're going to end that.
13:24On day one, we're going to end that mandate.
13:26And if you want an electric car, you'll absolutely get it.
13:28But you'll get gasoline, and you'll get hybrid.
13:30You'll get whatever it is.
13:32And we'll make sure that it's done.
13:34We're going to seal the border, and we're going to stop the invasion of your jobs
13:38and the invasion of our country.
13:39It's an invasion of your jobs.
13:41They are taking away your jobs when they pour in.
13:44And it makes sense.
13:45I mean, it makes sense.
13:46They're taking away your jobs.
13:48We'll bring back public safety and defend our communities for law-abiding American citizens.
13:54We need – look, the crime is most rampant right here and in African American communities.
14:00And more people see me, and they say, sir, we want protection.
14:04We want police to protect us.
14:06We don't want to get robbed and mugged and beat up or killed
14:11because we want to walk across the street to buy a loaf of bread.
14:14They want it so badly.
14:16The fake news doesn't talk about it.
14:19But the black population wants law enforcement more than any other population.
14:24So I think it's an important thing to say.
14:28And I'll keep the radical left-wing gender ideology away from our agenda.
14:34Gender ideology.
14:47Wow.
14:53You know, it's an amazing thing.
14:55Every time I say that, it gets that kind of an ointment from all groups, from all communities.
15:01It's incredible how that continues.
15:04Like, I will keep men out of women's sports.
15:07People say –
15:17That's another thing.
15:20Well, just to step it up, we will close the borders.
15:28They will be closed tight like they were.
15:30And only people will come into our country.
15:33They have to come in legally.
15:35They have to come in legally.
15:38And we'll also support, which is very important for your community, universal school choice.
15:45It's so important.
15:47So with all of that –
15:50With all of that, I wanted to say that it's –
15:53Carlos and everybody, it's been an honor to be here.
15:56It's an incredible place.
15:58I have a lot of friends here.
15:59And we're going to do things.
16:00We're going to bring back the auto industry.
16:02The best thing we can do is bring back the auto industry.
16:05If you look at what Biden's done, you know, we created –
16:08we got rid of NAFTA, the worst trade deal ever made.
16:11And we did the USMCA.
16:12That's Mexico, Canada.
16:13The best trade deal they ever made in this country.
16:16Actually, the trade deal I made with China was just as good or better,
16:19but I don't talk about it because of the COVID, what they brought upon.
16:23The China virus.
16:24Has anyone ever heard of the China virus?
16:26We want to be as accurate as possible.
16:28But we made great trade deals.
16:31But USMCA gave us something that was very special.
16:34And if you look right now, they're building massive auto plants in Mexico.
16:38And they think they're going to build automobiles and they're going to send them into our country
16:42and get rid of all your jobs in Michigan and get rid of all your jobs all over the country, your auto jobs.
16:47They're building the biggest auto plants anywhere in the world right now in Mexico,
16:51fairly close to the border.
16:53And let me tell you, those cars aren't coming into this country unless they pay a massive tariff
16:58because we want those plants built in our country, not in that country.
17:01We're going to bring back the auto industry to Michigan.
17:07We're bringing it back to Michigan.
17:10We're going to bring back the auto.
17:12And I can tell you from our senator, we will work on that together.
17:15But we're going to bring back the auto country.
17:17It's going to be called auto country again because you've lost over the years,
17:25you've lost more than 50 percent of the automobile-making capacity.
17:29Now, I think the number is even much higher than that.
17:31It used to be the only place.
17:33And now it's almost – it didn't go down with me, by the way.
17:37We did very well.
17:38We kept them out with tariffs and other things.
17:40But we're going to do something that's going to really bring back massive auto manufacturing
17:45to the state of Michigan, and we're going to create jobs like you've never seen.
17:49And I just want to thank everybody.
17:51And, Pastor, I want to thank you.
17:52This is a nice church, by the way, very nice.
17:54I'll come here some Sunday with you, okay?
17:57I'll listen to a real sermon, right?
18:00Thank you very much.
18:01Thank you very much, everybody.
18:02I appreciate it.
18:03Thank you.
18:04Thank you.
18:05Thank you.
18:06Thank you.
18:07Thank you.
18:08Thank you very much.
18:09Thank you.
18:10Thank you.
18:11Oh, is he a good-looking guy.
18:12Look at him.
18:13Wow.
18:14He's a beauty.
18:15Thank you.
18:16Thank you.
18:17Thank you.
18:18Thank you.
18:19Thank you.

20:38Thank you.
20:39We have a President who loves our soldiers and we need to put our president back in office
20:44and I just want to know, President Trump, please don't allow our soldiers to walk around
20:52I'm going to be at high heel soon.
20:59Thank you, Carlos.
21:09He does have a point.
21:11You know, one thing I'll say, as Carlos knows better than anybody, we defeated ISIS 100
21:17percent.
21:18They told me it would take five years.
21:21They told me it would take five years, and we did it literally in five weeks.
21:25We did it quickly.
21:26And I will tell you, our soldiers, other than the people on the top that you see on television,
21:32and some of them are really just weak and pathetic and bad, the way they got out of
21:36Afghanistan, getting out was fine.
21:38We were going to get out with dignity and strength.
21:40We weren't going to leave people behind, and we weren't going to leave equipment behind.
21:45Eighty-five, think of it, $85 billion worth of brand-new equipment we left.
21:50And they're one of the largest sellers right now of military equipment in the world.
21:54They left 70,000 clucks, many of them armor-plated, 700,000 rifles.
22:00I don't know why we had so much equipment over there, but they had it, they bought it,
22:04and we left it.
22:05Brand-new stuff, goggles, night goggles, where they can see perfectly, so now the Taliban
22:10can fight at night.
22:11But you know that.
22:12We left it over there.
22:13I will say, though, we defeated the ISIS caliphate, and our soldiers are real soldiers.
22:19They're not going woke.
22:20Nobody's going to talk them into going woke.
22:21Those guys did their job.
22:22Thank you so much.
22:23Thank you, Carlos.
22:24Thank you so much, Carlos.
22:25Mr. President, we have a couple of people who have been doing their work in business,
22:26restaurants.
22:27We have an executive chef with us.
22:28Now, he says his steak is excellent.
22:29And apparently, a bunch of the staff, when they've been here in Detroit, has eaten at
22:30his restaurant, and they all come back with rave reviews.
22:31But Omar's steak is excellent.
22:32Omar's steak is excellent.
22:33Omar's steak is excellent.
22:34Omar's steak is excellent.
22:35Omar's steak is excellent.
22:36Omar's steak is excellent.
22:37Omar's steak is excellent.
22:38Omar's steak is excellent.
22:39Omar's steak is excellent.
22:40Omar's steak is excellent.
22:42And apparently, a bunch of the staff, when they've been here in Detroit, has eaten at
22:45his restaurant, and they all come back with rave reviews.
22:48But Omar, tell us about all the work you've done here in Detroit, how you came up in Detroit.
22:55And whatever question you have for the President, please.
22:58Absolutely.
22:59Thank you for having me.
23:00And thank you, Detroit, for supporting us.
23:02President Trump, welcome to Detroit.
23:10Thank you very much.
23:11Thank you, Omar.
23:12I'm excited to be here with you today, President Trump.
23:16I'm a restauranteur and executive chef at Table No. 2 Restaurant, downtown Detroit.
23:22We are on our way of being a Michelin star restaurant, with the help of God and yourself.
23:28I'm successful now, but I started out born and raised on the east side of Detroit, in
23:35the urban community.
23:36Now, I give credit to the urban community, because without them, it would never have
23:41been me.
23:42I grew up teaching young kids to push, dream big, work hard.
23:46I want our kids today to be dreamers, bigger, so they can achieve more like I do, and even
23:54more.
23:55What will your administration do to ensure our young children are given the opportunities
23:59and challenges to keep growing?
24:01That's my question, but I also want to point out publicly on record that when you were
24:06in office with President Trump, the African American community, the Latino community,
24:12the Arabic community, we all soared.
24:16The money was pumping when you were in office.
24:18As a restaurant operator, I'm telling you that the money was pumping.
24:30And the money's not pumping now, and we need to get back to that, because it's ruining
24:34our economy.
24:35Right.
24:36Well, as you know better than anybody, Omar, the money was not a problem four years ago.
24:40The banks were lending, and they were lending at very low rates.
24:43And now, you can't get money at 10 and 11 and 12 percent.
24:46You can't get any money, especially for a small business.
24:49It's almost impossible.
24:51We're going to save our country.
24:53The most important thing we have to save.
24:55When you see Russian ships floating essentially off the coast of Miami, I mean, if you think,
25:00off the coast of Florida, how did that happen?
25:03And the fake news, look at all of them back there.
25:05The fake news says they want to talk about it, because it makes Biden.
25:09Putin would not be doing that if I were president.
25:12And I had a very good relationship, but I had a tough relationship.
25:15You know, I ended the pipeline going all over Europe, the Russian pipeline called Nord Stream 2.
25:20He wouldn't be doing it.
25:22And I will tell you, the most important thing we have to do, we have to save our country,
25:26because our country is in trouble.
25:28We have a chance, a real chance, at World War III.
25:31And, you know, we have less than five months now.
25:34Actual voting starts in North Carolina, if you take a look.
25:38That's going to be on the 6th of September.
25:4122nd of September is Pennsylvania.
25:43So it's not even November 5th, which will go down as the most important day,
25:47most important election, but the most important day in the history of our country.
25:50It's going to.
25:51Two things.
25:52I'm going to stop at your restaurant the next time,
25:54and you're going to give me the greatest lunch you've ever served,
25:57because I heard you do great steak.
25:59So we'll do that.
26:01Okay?
26:03And the other thing, tell your waiters and waitresses and anybody else getting tips,
26:09because a lot of people get tips, car attendants and patties,
26:13and a lot of different people get tips.
26:16We are not going to tax tips.
26:19The tax immediately is coming off, because, as you know,
26:25the government under Biden just passed new regulations to really go after these people,
26:31and they're at a level like nobody's ever seen.
26:34It's like jail time stuff.
26:36So to go after your waiters and your waitresses and other people getting tips.
26:40So anybody getting tips, because there are certain tip industries.
26:43The car business has a lot of tipping going on.
26:46We are not going to be taxing tips.
26:49It's going to end immediately.
26:50So thank you, Omar.
26:52Great job.
26:53We'll see you at your restaurant.
26:54We'll see you at the restaurant.
26:56Absolutely.
26:57I'll be there waiting.
26:58Thank you, Omar.
26:59Pleasure.
27:00I'm not going to join you, Omar.
27:01I'm not going to come for that dinner.
27:02Listen, you've got a good meal.
27:06You've got to take advantage of it.
27:07Absolutely.
27:08You're coming with me.
27:11So I'm going to go down to the end of the table.
27:13Now, Mr. President, this gentleman at the end of the table, look at that hat.
27:17That hat is phenomenal.
27:19I was talking about it earlier before I came out.
27:21It looks good.
27:23It's good.
27:24So Mario has, and I don't want to take away your story, brother,
27:29but Mario has done tremendous things in rebuilding his life,
27:34and I want Mario to talk about all the things he's done, he's been through,
27:37and whatever questions he has for you.
27:40Okay.
27:41First, just to say I'm happy to be here.
27:44I wouldn't be anywhere else today.
27:46Thank you.
27:47I had some issues early in my life.
27:54You know, young black man in the city, I got incarcerated,
27:57and I just so happened to be under the Joe Biden's 1994 crime bill.
28:02That's right.
28:04I'd like to thank you for working on the First Step Act that reversed it.
28:11Thank you.
28:31I turned my life around right now.
28:33I have six children, and how am I worried about their future?
28:36Democrats are attacking our kids right now.
28:39What can you do to protect our children and their future?
28:42Well, we're going to get your children jobs.
28:44We're going to make it possible for them to work.
28:46We're going to stop illegals from coming in,
28:48because your biggest threat are the illegals taking the jobs.
28:51We have threats as to security, too, because, again,
28:54so many of them come from prisons and jails, from mental institutions,
28:59and even insane asylums.
29:01That's a step above.
29:02That's many steps above mental institutions,
29:05and we're not going to allow this to happen.
29:08And the first community, and this is open knowledge,
29:11that's being affected and affected very badly is the black community,
29:14because they're taking your jobs.
29:16And we want people to come into our country,
29:18but they have to come in legally.
29:20They have to be vetted, and they have to come in legally.
29:23So I think that's the biggest single thing that we can do in terms of the future,
29:28because you see already what's happening where your wages are down.
29:31It's going down.
29:32It's going to get very bad.
29:33I think it's going to get very bad.
29:34So we have to close up the border.
29:36We have to stop.
29:37And we have to – we want people to come in,
29:39but we want them to come in legally,
29:42and they have to come in through a legal process.
29:44It's so unfair to our country.
29:46But I think that's the biggest thing we can do.
29:49Thank you very much.
29:51Congratulations.
29:56Mr. President, talking about children, we have somebody with us,
30:00Valerie Parker.
30:01Valerie has been fighting for the children here in Detroit.
30:04She runs after-school programs.
30:06She runs weekend programs.
30:08And when I met her off to the side and the first words out of her mouth,
30:13I had flashbacks when I was a kid.
30:15I said I knew a Valerie Parker when I was a young kid,
30:18and she straightened me out and had me be focused on what is necessary to be
30:22successful in life.
30:23But Valerie's with us, and I heard also she's a fan, like a big one.
30:28Thank you, Valerie.
30:31I'm going to say it because I don't want her to get in trouble.
30:35What she said to me backstage was that Melanie is in trouble.
30:38She better watch out.
30:40That's what she told me.
30:41That's what she told me.
30:42I promise.
30:43Don't forget, we're still in church.
30:45We're still in church now.
30:46We're still in church.
30:47We're in church.
30:48I apologize, Pastor.
30:49I'm sorry.
30:50I'm sorry.
30:51Valerie, tell us about your story.
30:53Tell us what you're doing here in Detroit,
30:55and then whatever question you have for President Trump.
30:57Thank you, Mr. President, for coming to the hood.
31:01Thank you so much.
31:02I'm born and raised in Detroit.
31:04Forced to be a Democrat and take their sex name and all that stuff,
31:07and you can't get no higher education,
31:09and they pop up all them babies to get some more checks,
31:12and they tell me I was stuck with the kids for 18 years.
31:14They didn't tell me that part.
31:15You know?
31:16And so, but what my concern is right now, I'm doing an after-school program.
31:21My kids are in trouble, especially African-Americans, as you say.
31:23And when I go to these schools,
31:25I go to schools where African-American girls don't even have doors,
31:28only bathrooms.
31:29But when I go to immigrants that speak New England, right,
31:32they got the best food, the best bathroom,
31:34got people teaching second language right next door.
31:37I went to a school last week, and we was talking STEM.
31:40So I asked them, I said, how many immigrants?
31:42They raised their hand.
31:43Do you know how long they keep me out?
31:44I'm not allowed to ask immigrants.
31:46I'm a free citizen.
31:47What's up with that?
31:48I got a problem with that.
31:49I'm talking to these black Democrats,
31:51stealing these black kids' money,
31:53talking about what T-Wayne doing.
31:55I know they stole.
31:56I went over.
31:57I'm in Brightmoor.
31:58Been over there since 2005,
32:00spending my own money.
32:02So just recently, I went to a Democrat
32:05who I've been going to since I was eight years old.
32:07He do barber shop.
32:09I said, can you give me a couple of,
32:12how much it costs to get the kids back on their haircuts?
32:15He told me he called Trump.
32:17So then I called Ann Clark.
32:19Ann Clark got on up this way,
32:21the county committee for public.
32:24We doing June 27th.
32:27They do some stuff now,
32:28and I'm going to talk to you.
32:29So I'm going to go tell him,
32:30I say, you told me to tell Trump,
32:31and I told Trump on you.
32:33You got all these Democrats,
32:34and I told Trump on you.
32:47No wonder I see you on television so much,
32:50and you do so well.
32:51But that's something.
32:53You mentioned Section 8.
32:55And I built Section 8 housing.
32:57I built quite a bit of it.
32:59And I did an initiative with my father,
33:01and we were successful at it.
33:03But it was crazy,
33:04because essentially there was no rent.
33:06You paid no rent.
33:07And people would come up to us and say,
33:09you know, I don't have to live for free,
33:12but if you could help me,
33:13I would do that.
33:14I said, the problem is you pay nothing.
33:16Well, you pay everything.
33:17There was nothing in between, right?
33:19And people were saying, I don't want to do that.
33:22I mean, I want to help.
33:23And they ended up taking it.
33:25And they lived literally for nothing.
33:27The problem was there was no money left for anybody else.
33:30So people that wanted subsidized housing,
33:32they wanted housing to help their family
33:35and to live and everything else,
33:36they couldn't get the housing.
33:37The Section 8 program was a crazy program.
33:40People were saying, I want to pay something.
33:43And a lot of people came up to me.
33:45They said, because I knew it very well.
33:46I knew that program very well.
33:48And they wanted to pay something.
33:50They couldn't do it.
33:51You got it for almost nothing.
33:53But there was nothing left over for a lot of other people.
33:55It was a crazy program, actually.
33:57Really a crazy government program.
33:59Ben Carson would know that better than anybody
34:01because he had to live with it.
34:03But your story is an amazing story.
34:07Thank you.
34:08Thank you, Valerie, very much.
34:09Appreciate it.
34:14Now, Mr. President,
34:15we do have to go to the man of the house.
34:17This is his church.
34:19Pastor Sewell, the floor is yours.
34:22You can share whatever you would like to share.
34:24Because, basically, tomorrow you're going to do that anyway.
34:28So go ahead and share now.
34:30President Trump, I'm so humbled that you would be here.
34:33President Obama never came to the hood, so to speak.
34:38President Joe Biden, he went to the big NAACP dinner,
34:42but he never came to the hood.
34:44So thank you.
34:46Thank you.
35:00Our community is disenfranchised.
35:03We're marginalized.
35:04We're pushed aside.
35:06And there are two things that are happening with crime and employment.
35:11You're an entrepreneur.
35:13How can you see funding entrepreneurs
35:17specifically keeping the black dollar in the black community?
35:20Let me explain.
35:22If I want to eat, I have to give my money to the Albanians at Coney Island.
35:26If you want to get gas, you need to go to the Caldeans.
35:30If you want to have your hair look like mine, you've got to go to Asians.
35:33I thank God for Asians.
35:34My wife is right there.
35:35She's Asian.
35:36Our children are Asian.
35:37So I give it up to my Asian brothers and sisters.
35:40But we don't keep the black dollar in the black community.
35:42You're an entrepreneur.
35:44What does it look like for black entrepreneurs
35:47to be able to get the resources they need
35:50so we don't look for a handout but a hand up?
35:57When we talk about this,
35:58you have a lot of dollars in the black community,
36:01and they don't keep it.
36:02I think one of the biggest problems that I see is the crime.
36:05They have to stop the crime.
36:06If they stop the crime, you're going to see more and more stories sprout.
36:10We're losing them in other communities, too.
36:12With this crime, you see empty stores.
36:15You see them all over.
36:16You see big stores that moved in 10 years ago.
36:18They spent millions of dollars to build it,
36:20and now they're leaving.
36:21And these are not necessarily black communities.
36:25In many cases, they're not at all.
36:26But where there's crime, there's empty stores,
36:29and you don't keep the money.
36:30So I think the biggest thing we can do is stop the crime.
36:33We're going to stop the crime.
36:34We have to let people feel free and be able to walk outside
36:38and not even think about being mugged or hit or shot or anything.
36:44And, you know, one of the examples, I see the love in this church.
36:49It's just incredible what you've done.
36:50You've done an incredible job.
36:52I would like to ask you if you could follow out with a prayer.
36:55Does that make sense?
36:56Is that okay?
36:57I don't want to get you by surprise here, because this was not. . .
36:59But I've heard so much about you and so many great things,
37:02and it's such an honor to be here.
37:04It's such an incredible honor.
37:06With so many of my friends that are political leaders
37:08that are really glowing places, and he is on the list, by the way,
37:11and I don't know if he's going to make it,
37:13but he's on a list of a few people, right?
37:16Not too many people.
37:17Would you like to be me?
37:18Yeah.
37:19Yeah.
37:20Yeah.
37:21Yeah.
37:22Yeah.
37:23Yeah.
37:24Yeah.
37:25He'll be a good one, too.
37:26But I'd love to ask you to finish off with a prayer.
37:29Does that make sense?
37:30I would love to pray.
37:31Thank you very much.
37:32Let us bow our heads.
37:33Father, we thank you for the 45th president of the United States of America.
37:39He was charged with 34 felonies, and he raised $53 million in 24 hours.
37:47He has the potential to be the 47th president of the United States of America.
37:53You have protected him from being seen and unseen.
37:56You have protected his family.
37:58We pray for his wife, his children.
38:00Father, we ask that late in the midnight hour that you would speak to him.
38:05We pray that you might visit him with wisdom and revelation
38:09and the knowledge of you.
38:11We ask that even when he deals with complex problems,
38:15that you might give him the ability to hear your still, small voice.
38:21Father, we ask that you might lift his hands up
38:23so that our country perhaps would be great again.
38:27And we believe specifically for black America
38:30that you would make black America great again.
38:33Because, Lord, we realize we haven't always been this way.
38:37So we pray that righteousness would begin to roll like water
38:41and justice like a ice cream.
38:43And we thank you that you're able to do it
38:45because we believe that there are promises that you have through this president.
38:50And we believe that you would do exceedingly and abundantly
38:53for all that we ask, think, or imagine in this life and in our community.
38:58In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
39:02Amen.
39:03Amen.
39:04Amen.
39:05Amen.
39:06Amen.
